HUL 14in Two-Tone Aluminum Case with Customizable Pluck Foam Interior for Test Instruments Cameras Tools Parts and Accessories

Started getting into being a paranormal investigator, and with my ever-growing equipment loadout it was time for a nice case. This is a solid case that fits all my smaller ghost hunting equipment, plus extra batteries! The foam is nice and sturdy and keeps things in place, and is easy to remove and cut to fit whatever you need. The case itself is very rugged and holds together fine. The locks seem pretty basic and could probably be picked easy. Other than that, a pretty great case!

I was looking for a small'ish care for my telescope eyepieces and various stuff that I wanted protected when I took it anywhere. I didn't want to pay $70-100 for a branded case when I could get the same for half the price. I was very happy when I saw this in person. Perfect size, perfect weight. Like any kid with a new toy, I was laying everything out how I wanted it, rearranging and doing it again before I started plucking foam. The foam is just right, maybe 1/2" square at the top and roughly 2" deep. It separates easily and cleanly making it easy to get the size you need. At first I was disappointed because when you pull the foam out, there's nothing at the bottom but the case wall. I was thinking it would have been nice to have padding on the bottom like it has in the top. I'm slow, but I realized I could use the foam I plucked by turning it length wise and putting it back in the hole I made. It fits perfectly and provides just the cushion I wanted all the way around, including top and bottom. This is a good value and I recommend it.

This is a useful hard case to hold various gadgets. While nowhere near as sturdy as a Pelican, it is much less expensive, making it more suitable as a general storage container. One issue with the case is that the pick-and-pluck foam that comes with it is a single thick piece; there is no separate bottom foam layer. This means once you carve out the space for the item being stored, the item is now resting directly on the hard shell of the case bottom. It's not a big deal if you have other foam laying around that you can use for bottom padding, but just something to be aware of.

I purchased a 14 and a 16 inch case with like results. They are both cost effective and easy to modify (no tools needed). I found them both well made for my use. I have an OBDii code reader and auto computer reset module in one, and my Nikon camera and lenses in the other. They both store safely in my SUV using minimal space. I am going to purchase more to help me keep track of my toys.

Sturdy, yet lightweight locking case lets me store several eyepieces and spotting scope in, with a few more necessities. The phone came out nicely with neat edges. I bought the 18 inch one as well two stores some of my bigger items.

The headline says it all. Instead of hauling out your binoviewer and several other cases or boxes for eyepieces, filters, a barlow, etc, this well made case holds all the necessities in one perfectly sized, well made and easily transportable case. See the attached photo: William Optics binoviewer, immediately below it are (left to right) the WO 1.6x barlow, and a pair of 10mm eyepieces. In the middle, top to bottom, are 3 pairs of eyepieces . On the right side 1 more eyepiece pair and below them a plastic case containing a polarizing filter for the Moon and sometimes planets. The case is nice looking, well made, and sturdy (assuming you don’t drop kick it around). And the pluck foam is easy to remove to get any configuration you want. One suggestion: for most eyepieces, remove 4 of the little vertical cutouts to get a square shape which the EPs slide in and out of easily and gradually conform the shape to a slight rounding. Trying to actually CUT out circles can get messy and ugly.

I used it to house some Audix drum mics and dflex clips. Works great! Fits my i5, D2, D4, two overhead condenser mics and the DFlex clips to mount them to the drum kit. I didn’t need a waterproof case because this case goes into a waterproof SKB trap case, so it works perfect for my situation.
