Vet student here. They're good mayo hegar needle holders. Haven't autoclaved them, but good rachet for suturing! Holds suture needles nicely. Good value for the money and durable so far

I needed a good extra long pair of hemostats, with good leverage- I didn't know this was an option until I came across it. I use it on all sorts of things, like pulling fuses, installing grommets, grabbing dropped screws, and even this: I had a spark plug boot that broke and dropped rubber down on top of the actual spark plug, causing a situation where I couldn't get a socket to fit on the plug. These and my Knipex needle nose pliers were able to get the junk out. Oh, you could also use this to clamp smaller hoses and stuff. This is a set of excellent precision needle nose pliers- called "needle holders" in the surgical sphere. It's a special tool, for sure, but one that has earned a permanent spot in my tool chest. My favorite feature is how far down the joint is compared to other normal hemostats. This lets you really get a lot more leverage. The teeth are also good; they seem to fit together. I haven't tried to twist them yet, so I can't really speak on the durability of the actual joint, but the placement is very good. Finally, I appreciate that it came with its own plastic sleeve. It's becoming too common now that tools are sold without an actual case or container.
