Failed multiple times
I purchased this producted 2 years back till now its failed two times and again 3rd time recently i lost my data every time but only best thing in this hdd is 5 years warranty

👎Failed within an year & half. Best to stay away from all Seagate.
🔹️Before the widespread availability of Sata SSDs , I have used almost all types of 7200 rpm hard drives with favourite being Hgst & worst being this one. This one being my first solid state hybrid drive though. 🔹️Over contemporary HDD , these hybrid drives have a solid state cache memory 128 MB, that keeps a record of files & applications you use most & hence have slight faster load times or data transfer rates. 🔹️It came inbuilt with my HP omen laptop as a secondary drive to a primary nvme drive. 🔹️Within year it developed 28 bad sectors & its health declined to like 78 % as per my hard disk sentinel software. The inbuilt algorithm shifted the data in those parts elsewhere over disk. 🔹️By year & half it has now 144 bad sectors & health has gone down to just 17 %. My software started giving warning to backup all data as the drive can fail anytime now. 🔹️I bought crucial 1TB MX500 SSD against it & am now in process of filing warranty claims. ☝️Earlier also i had bad experiences with seagate external hard disks. ❗This failure confirmed not to take side with seagate in future , so not recommended.
