This is a fantastic official imported controller, and a better option than the infuriatingly expensive American controllers...
This controller is a bargain and a life-saver for gamers like myself. One of the unfortunate problems with older gaming systems like the Nintendo Gamecube is that once newer systems come out and manufacturing slows and stops, the prices skyrocket. So when my Gamecube controller was destroyed in a flood, I was pretty much out of luck. Used video-game controllers are very hit and miss (I've bought several that just flat-out didn't work), and new controllers for the Gamecube cost anywhere from $60-$200 here in the US because they aren't manufactured anymore. (That's the price for official controllers, I don't mess with crummy third-party controllers) I was genuinely sad, because some of my favorite games of all time were released on the very underrated Gamecube, and I was doomed to be unable to play them anymore. Thankfully, I stumbled onto this and ordered one, and it was a tremendous find and a great purchase, mainly because it is very affordable, only costing about $40 or so with shipping, saving the buyer a significant amount of money. Even though it's imported from Japan, this official Gamecube controller will work on American Gamecube and Wii systems, so don't worry. It features a very nice white colorscheme that matches the Wii, and has a 10' cord (a few feet longer than the controller's regular cord) which allows the player to sit back a bit more even though they are still corded to the system. The controller feels good in the hands and is very sturdy. The only slight complaint I have is that the shoulder buttons feel a bit "hollow" and light, but it's nothing to worry about, it's a very minor complaint. Honestly, if you need a new Gamecube controller, this is the way to go. Don't waste money on the pathetically expensive controllers here in the US... buy one of these, it's the same thing and costs a lot less.

Legit OEM GameCube controller
Ordered a used “Very Good” condition controller and was a little worried after seeing some mixed reviews, but mine arrived exactly as expected. There were a couple tiny marks if you look closely, but nothing major and it was overall clean. The controller itself feels great, solid weight, smooth sticks, and everything works properly including rumble. It definitely feels more authentic and higher quality than third-party alternatives I’ve tried. If you’re looking for a genuine GameCube controller and don’t mind minor cosmetic wear, this was a good buy.

Needed a controller, found much more.
With the arrival of Smash Bros 4 Wii U and the Gamecube controller adapter I found myself needing another Gamecube controller due to 13 long years of heavy usage, especially through Smash Bros Melee and Brawl. This controller is exactly what you could need and expect; it is an official controller exactly matching my others but I had never seen a solid white one before. I found the white to be very poetic as the Gamecube has come and gone and is ancient by gaming standards so the white conveys old age. I was extremely hesitant to open the packaging knowing that I may never see a pristine unopened Gamecube controller box ever again but when I mustered the will to carefully remove it, I was in awe. With all my other controllers polished perfectly smooth from the countless hours of use, to hold one again in a pristine and virgin condition for the first time in over a decade was both bizarre and breath taking. The sticks were firm and responsive as were the buttons and triggers; it was as if I was gazing at freshly fallen snow that had yet to be disturbed and was as crisp as ever. The mild grain on the plastic was so unfamiliar as my other controllers had been rendered smooth years ago, I found myself handling the fresh new controller as if it were an artifact from an era lost to time. This controller, I suppose, represents one last hurrah for the Gamecube and though there are many new types of controllers for the Wii U and Smash Brothers, this one has the most personal meaning. I found myself hooking up my old Gamecube to revisit some of my favorites from yesteryear and was able to go back to a seemingly simpler time. The controller itself handles very well. Solid build, sturdy buttons, it has the same manufacturing as the previous runs controllers so I expect this one to last many years into the future as my other controllers already have. The stunningly white cord is a great variation from the black cord found on my other copies and the cord is even a few feet longer like the Smash Bros edition recently released. If you are familiar with the Gamecube controller as I am, you will find no difficulty picking this one up and letting your muscle memory do the rest. Ignore the JAPAN-ONLY labels, the controller works perfectly fine with my American Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, and PC adapter. I definitely recommend this controller for people looking for another controller for Smash Bros 4 or any Gamecube games, or to wow your friends with the ability to hold a Gamecube controller still in perfect condition, or even if you are someone with the inkling to have a pristine controller for your collection. This controller was one of the best things I bought this year due to functionality and sentimental reasons; I hope you find yourself enjoying your own as much as I did.

Easily one of the best controllers of all time.
Oh Nintendo. It's quite amazing how you've always been a consistent force in the video game industry, and even more interesting, is the fact that your company created what is often considered one of the best controllers ever produced. With ergonomics and storage in mind, Nintendo created the gamecube controller with the intentions of making a controller that didn't force your hands into odd positions, while offering the maximum amount of control and buttons that is humanly possible. The left control stick was placed in the natural position for the thumb, with a nice amount of rubber placed on top to prevent slipping, as well as a C-stick specifically for camera control, kept out of the way of the main action. An additional Z button which is tiny, but quick and easy to press, allows for quick and precise actions, while the L and R triggers have both soft triggers, which activate when partially pressing down the trigger, and a hard trigger when you press it down and pass a certain threshold. The A, B, X, and Y buttons are all extremely responsive, as one would expect them to be, and the A and B button are both located in a spot that doesnt force you to overextend your finger. IF I had any real issues with this controller, it would be the following: A. The d-pad is terrible. It was put in as a control method for any extra 4 buttons the game would need that you dont need to control the game using the control stick B. The X and Y button are easy to lose track of, and to this day, I still sometimes confuse the position of these two buttons. One final thing to note is that this controller has an extra long cord, approximately 10 feet long, it allows you to play from rather large distances, which is a definite plus. Honestly a magnificent controller, and easily one of the better controllers I've ever owned.

The Best Ever
The Nintendo GameCube controller is the best controller ever. Don't believe me? Ask your kids. Ask THEIR kids. They'll probably tell you something like, "Nah. I like the PS3 controller because it's wireless and it has more sensitive analog sticks." You should spank them because they're wrong. Still don't believe me? Buy one and try it out yourself. Feel the smooth, curved, ergonomic texture. The button placement, derived from years of scientific research and surveys. The ribbed control stick, aching for your sweaty thumb's frantic manipulation. The L and R buttons with an analog press AND a click press. Smooth, sexy action on every surface. If you were a child or teen (or alive) in the early 2000s, you and your friends and your friends' dogs all owned a GameCube. Why? Super Smash Bros Melee. There is no other reason. If you're looking at buying this controller. It's probably for that very same reason. Or maybe it's because you're tired of flailing your arms around like an idiot and pressing C to jump on Brawl or Smash 4. Maybe you don't even play smash brothers and you just want a superior controller experience. Well, you've come to the right place. This controller is better than your old GC controller because it has a long cord. How long? I don't know man. It's like 2000 feet long or something. Longer than I'll ever need, because I play with my face in the screen. I only have two problems with this controller. First, the L and R buttons seem to hit some intense resistance if you try and press them in at a slightly downward angle. Maybe this will go away after I break the controller in over time. Who knows. It's no big deal. Nothing that can't be fixed with a significant lifestyle change. The other problem I have is that This controller is just way too sexy for me. I can't even looking at it without shedding tears. Maybe because I've been staring at the TV screen without blinking for hours. Who knows. Look, you should buy this. Hit the "add to cart" button. Right now. Wait. Not yet. You see that space above where it says "Qty: 1?" Change that to "Qty: 4." Why? So that your friends can know once and for all who can kick more butt at Melee. It's you.

The Real Deal Is Worth The Extra Money
Like many of you who are looking for a Gamecube controller, I was tempted to go with one of the cheaper knockoffs. I do like to get bang for the buck, but after doing some research and reading some reviews, I decided to dish out the 29.99 and bought this from Amazon. I am glad I did. The controller really is high quality. I've held some of the other ones available, and they really feel cheap compared to this one. The buttons are really nice and sturdy, everything about it feels the way a top notch controller should. Now, it isn't wireless, but I actually think that that is a plus. First of all, the wire is VERY long. I never owned an original Gamecube( I got this for the Wii) but I have to assume it is way longer than the original Gamecube controllers. So even though it isn't wireless, you still should be able to play your game from just about anywhere in the room. And of course with a wired controller, you don't have to worry about running out and getting batteries every few days. Even with rechargeable batteries, constantly recharging them can be a little bit of a hassle. So to sum it up: If you need a Gamecube controller, get this one. Yeah, initially it will set you back more than one of the others, but I think it is worth it. Cause when you add battery cost and/or charging stations, etc, it will probably save you money. And based on the qualities of each controller, in the long run I'm guessing you will get the most gameplay out of this one, by far. Really a quality controller

Must Have Accessory
Received this in the mail & hooked it up (top of Wii console) & it's a gem to use. Interfaces with the Wii titles that will support the classic controller (Mario Kart, Super Smash, Mario All Stars,to name a few & all Gamecube titles)it has the rumble function. It's a perfect size for the hands ... I love the controller! it makes gaming easier, the control on Mario Kart is great ... to say nothing of playing the old classic Mario with a controller that also reflects how it was played when it came out. This was a must have for me, as I wanted to be able to play the great Gamecube titles on my Wii. It certainly is worth the extra few dollars over buying a knock off or used controller. I like it so much, think I'll order another for my son, so we can both use it during our races & Super Smash brawls ...the 10 foot cord is a blessing, since it can reach to the couch. I would buy this over the Wii classic, as this has better functionality. Order with confidence, you won't be disappointed.

Overpriced, Overrated, Over with this controller
I can't believe this piece of junk is satisfying customers. First off, I got it and it was clearly used. It had dirt and spots all over it, plus the analog stick was very loose due to being broken in. Second, I play Super Smash Brothers competitivley and I am always looking for new controllers so when I discovered this you could imagine how excited I was. I have purchased several different brands of controllers for gamecube and all of them either didn't respond approprietly, stopped working mid game, or just didn't work at all. When I got this one, although I was dissatisfied with the fact that it wasn't brand new, It worked well and I was doing great in tornaments and by myself, but in a month or so it all of a sudden it stopped working for no reason. This is just one of many controllers I have purchased that ended up being junk. I guess this contrloller like all the others is destined to be out dated because Nintendo is too busy you know whatting themselves with the stupid Wiimote that nobody likes. Now back to what I was saying, this controller also has an issue where if you try to input a second command right after another, the second input tends to be unresponsive. Also the Z and Y button has major issues. In some games that require moving from side to side, moving foward and pressing Z often responds inaccuratly by going the opposite direction. For example, in Super Smash Brothers Brawl, if you try to run up and grab someone, as soon as you press Z or Y you will turn around and go the other way. I had similar mishaps in games I bought from the Wii shop such as Street Fighter 2, StarFox, Super Mario 64 and many others. Although the controller worked well for a while, it broke fairly quickly and is most likley due to the fact that it is used (wether it looks like its brand new in the package or not) or poor design due to the fact that Nintendo doesn't care for the impact the discontinuing of Gamecube controllers has on gamers like myself. However seeing as how this product somehow has pleased many customers, it may still be useful to casual gamers who aren't looking for near perfection but, for competitive purposes this controller is unreliable.

Great Controller, Great delivery time, And quick feedback.
Only took three days to deliver and the controller is working perfectly not that I expect less. It's best to stick to wired first party controllers in general and only buy them brand new so that you have confidence that they will work for a very long time.I got the controller for £23.30 which isn't bad at all and your paying for quality so do yourself some justice and buy Nintendo controllers brand new and ditch third party knockoffs and ditch buying preowned controllers unless your that desperate(it's a gamble to get a decent controller that is pre owned). My body is ready for Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS and this controller will fight off the temptation to use the Super Smash bros edition controller so I can sell it someday or use it when this White controller wears out if it ever does.Non of my controllers have ever worn out apart from ones that were preowned and it probably wasn't my fault that they stopped working properly. The buttons feel great and your fingers/thumbs won't get cold which is a problem some controllers have as you may have experienced. If your really want it then buy it with confidence because it's brand new and has no faults and a longer cord than the original Gamecube controllers. Will work with your Gamecube,Wii and Wii U when the adapter comes out.

Amazing Controller
Very happy with my purchase. The controller came pretty much brand new from Japan. Everything is original and the extra length on the cord is great. The rumble feature is a plus and everything just feels tight nice and new. Will purchase again if it ever breaks but honestly it feels like it won’t ever. As a heavy smash player I 100% recommend one
