A Super Looper
I saw a Boss RC-30 in action at a public library presentation in Avon, CT, over the summer of 2015 (Jester Jim!). Jester Jim used it well, and I thought it was was very cool (too cool for school, in fact) and I knew I had to "get me one of those." And so a few months later, I did. I have learned the basics, and I have created some nice loops with guitar, bass, and drums. A lot of fun to sit and jam with yourself after the loop is complete. My understanding of the unit at this point is pretty limited, but I hope that as I learn more of its capabilities, I will be as happy with it as I am now. And my kids love to hear themselves say "Poop!" over and over. The RC-30 is a grand old time for one and all!

Lot of functionality for such a little box!
Boss continues to listen to users and pack more into their new products. This little power house is a must for everyone from a casual user to a professional musician. You can have a lot of fun in minutes, but you have to read the book to really make it work for you at the next level. It is not a toy! Great value.

A Pedal that Squeezes Out Your Creative Juices
Absolutely love this pedal. I used to be in the band scene and totally miss jamming with friends and performing live. This pedal allows me to play like a one man band. Yes, there are computer based equipment you could find and use which does the same thing or even better but this thing is a plug and play gear you'd really want to have connected to your instrument effects line. Two track multiple overdubs give you a lot of freedom to be creative in writing riffs, leads and track mixes. Sound quality is good. Only challenge I had so far is when I have to switch back and forth between tracks multiple times... so I guess I will be one of those who eventually ended up getting an FS-6 dual pedal to address this. Go get it! Totally lots of fun :)

If you like on the fly
I already have a BR- 1600 capable of looping . It is very time demanding and takes away the, "in the moment recording" . With the RC -30 It makes it all so simple, and makes it easy to sync the insturument ( guitar/key board/ bass ) easily. So good for trying out different solo's , or arrangements. I like it mostly to create new songs and put together lyrics / instumentals after I get the loop happening. If I want to practice a solo on top of a rythm I go t all the time I need . Davi A

Awesome feature packed looper!
Read the in depth reviews on musicians friend, lots of details there, and very positive reviews. This is my first looper and I am impressed with the features in this pedal. Be prepared to spend some time learning how to use it and make the most of the features, especially if you are new to loopers like me. My playing has improved since I got this box - I can lay down some tracks and practice licks and riffs over and over again. The best thing is you can store 3 hours of loops which means you can record a whole evenings backing tracks. I can even run my computer to the aux input and record some prerecorded backing tracks directly into the looper. Havent used the USB yet, will get to that eventually! Its expensive but well worth the money. IF you dont need the dual track feature the cheaper RC3 might be a better option. But for $100 extra I think the RC30 is worth it.

Great for Tricking Little Kids
I have had this looper for a few months now. I've really enjoyed playing on it. It is really easy to use and will help any guitar player with their counting and staying on beat. Like most other loopers, you need to time everything perfectly. It also works as a great way to entertain kids. My nephew still thinks there's man stuck inside of it.

An excellent upgrade
I perform solo, singing and playing guitar. This pedal allows for some interesting creations to be born. Simple to use and the FS 6 pedal by Boss only makes it easier to switch tracks, bank select and que in effects. I highly recommend this loop station for any musician looking to incorporate more to your songs, whether performing live or jamming in your bedroom.

After a few months, it started having problems like freezing all of a sudden and the delay between track play after hitting the pedal became more and more. That was not the worst part, this seller has a label of 1 yr warranty which is why I chose this seller. But on contacting them for several times they didn't even care to explain what kind of damages are included by the warranty. If I could I would give them a 0 star.

It's a great pedal
This is the best looper a beginner can get. In the beginning it's a bit confusing all the settings and controls but once you get comfortable with it you can do anything with this! Tho one problem I have is those effects that you get on the left side. Instead of that there should have been a tuner. I personally have never used those effects on stage and I never will. If you're paying this much there should have been a tuner on there but otherwise this pedal is a beast. I went on tour with it. Ed sheeran back in the day used this too.

Experienced Musician review.
After using a Ditto looper and a twin-stereo looper for a while I decided to upgrade to the RC-30. I like the phantom power feature and the option to have the instrument and mic available for looping. The Drum-Machine is basic but good enough for guidance. I really like you can change the speed on the saved loops and keeps the original pitch. Lots of good online videos or musicians showing up damn good skills on the pedal..the learning curve will be a challenge but is fun to figure it out. Is a great tool/toy to be creative and write songs and for jams and live shows. Overall I give the 5 start because this looper is too much fun and good quality

Brilliant looper
I bought this little badboy at the start of lockdown and I've had plenty of time to play around with it. Overall it's a great bit of kit with only a few limitations. You get two banks to play with each you can overdub.. you can always remove your last recording by holding down the left pedal for 2 seconds, and put it back in by doing the same action after. One of the ways it does let it self down is by only being able to remove 1 layer before just adding it back in.. so you can't delete two parts.. you would have to stop everything on both banks and delete the whole bank to remove more than one mess up or unwanted layer. This is a little confusing but trust me it does kinda let it down a bit.. but you can get around that by being smart with how you use the 2 banks. you can drop out a whole bank so if all the bits you want removing are on that bank just mute it and you're good. You have a few effects to layer over everything, you can't select a bank seperate.. it just does everything besides the drum beat (if you have a beat coming from the pedal, if not that too). So again you have to be careful with how you stack your tracks and banks up.. but that's all part of the fun of learning to use it. If you tap the right pedal you have a way to set a tempo.. this is great on the fly but if you want say exactly 100bpm good luck tapping that out. What I do to get around this is preload a few track with drum loops via the PC and then I know the exact tempo of that bank when I start the loop.. as the file with the drum loop will just set the tempo :) I kinda going a little in depth here but it's all little hurdles I came across. Trying to tap a tempo perfect is very hard. That said the pedal will set it's tempo when you tap it and stick to it.. all the beats seem to work quiet nice on the pre set loops.. vary your tempo and you can get a nice range of backing tracks. I run a guitar, bass and keyboard (via my phone) into mine and it works great.. still have a slot for a mic to. It's really not too hard to get started with and you'll have hours of fun jamming. Another thing, it has not midi input so you can midi sync with other devices.. thought I'd heads up on that as the higher priced models. That would mean setting a tempo between devices would be easy.. but it's just not possible I don't think. Setting a drum loop works well though, just have to time it in just right and it'll stay on time.
