Temperature Sensor (7790) Replacement (Water/Air/Solar)

I noticed my heater would quickly turn off and then noticed my Jandy control showed a super high water temperature. I figured the system was getting the wrong temperature and that this may fix the issue before I spend money on a pool expert. It was easy to switch out, plugged right in and my heater is back up and running.

My original review was 5 stars and was voted most helpful. When I first put the sensor in it was awesome, a great savings or so I thought. Unfortunately the sensor only lasted about 6 months. Like many of the other reviews, the temp was reading extremely high and the solar would not turn on. The original sensor lasted about 8 years. This one barely made it 6 months. If you figure that your time to install it is worth anything, the Jandy sensor is worth the extra $20. This was a huge disappointment, and waste of time and money. I would recommend buying the better sensor, not this cheap one.

Perfect replacement for my original that had been ruined over 12 years of use. 5 minute installation and a huge savings over the local shop price for purchase and installation.

I recommend this model... Accurate. A bit more expensive. Installs easily, just need a small screwdriver (for the two wires in the controller) and a larger screwdriver for the strap. The generic model is not accurate.

Product was purchased April 15, 2016 by Pool Guy Supply, Inc., and failed in October 2016. Seller claims there is only 30 day warranty although this is not described on the listing. Don't accept the lower price from Pool Guy Supply, Inc. as the part is not as well made and it will fail as others have written. It is clear the seller doesnt care about getting repeat customers on their other products which would be the result if they had loyalty to their customers. Spend the $10 more than buying from Pool Guy Supply, Inc and buy the original part and get the original manufacturer's warranty.

works perfectly. Design is slightly different than one I was replacing but nothing that couldn't be worked around.

Don’t buy! Total fraud!! Stopped working after 2 months. Seemed fine at first, then began reading warmer and warmer and warmer. Now it’s just useless, which is terrible because I can’t properly control heat to my pool with automation because the system thinks it is already up to temperature.

This seemed like a good value when I bought it last year. I had to put a new O ring on it because it leaked, then it failed after 9 months. I contacted the seller and was told it only had a 30 day warranty. I bought another one last week, and had to put a new O ring on it because it leaked also. I'm hoping this one lasts longer than 9 months. If not, I won't be buying another one.
