It's great, but a bit pricey!
It's great, the only snag is the price. Better use it only for drinks to make it last longer as it only weighs 500g/a pound, so if you were to use it for cakes, in only 3 or 4 uses, it would be gone. Having said that, I have used only 2 tablespoons with a small tin of evaporated milk and a sliver of butter in a saucepan over slow fire to make caramels and simmered this concoction for 20 min-half an hour, then poured it in moulds and it came out right, with the right level of sweetness. Oh, I also used a pinch of salt. Next time, I think I'll use a large tin and only three tablespoons sweetener and maybe a teaspoon of cocoa powder. This probably doesn't matter, but I also like the pastel colours on the package:) Great product, hope it comes down in price, though.

This stuff really tastes like sugar
Don't do reviews normally, but this stuff REALLY does taste like sugar!! No bitter aftertaste, no scum on top of your brew! I've tasted quite a few "Sweeteners" and they all fall in to comparison. Its just a shame that its sooo expensive!! Why cant we mas produce this and rid the world of sugar. It would have dramatic benefits for world health. If you need to get off sugar because of health reason etc. Try this you will not be disappointed.

Tastes just like sugar!
This stuff is amazing- it is expensive so I have been using in drinks as I think it will last longer that way. But I challenge you to taste the difference to sugar. I usually use monk fruit sweetener as I really dislike the nasty after taste you usually get with artificial sweeteners. This stuff is even better. Definitely good for drinks and cereal and I think if you were doing some special baking this would be excellent. I wish it were less expensive, but to me it tastes just like sugar. I can enjoy a cup of tea again!!

Sugar Rush
This is a great sugar replacement and I’ve used it to bake and in hot drinks. It’s the same sweetness as sugar. But it is eye watering expensive so now if I bake I use half the amount and top it up with Erythritol.

expensive but soo worth it
There is no nasty cooling effect or yuk after taste that you get with other erythrotol based sweeteners. Dissolves quickly which is great for baking - i have this on recurring order now. Wish they did powdered

Really pricey. But really good.
For diabetics, this is absolutely magic stuff. You pay an arm and a leg for the magic, because it’s really really pricey. But … it really does taste like sugar. It’s not a polyol, so it has neither the same cooling effect nor Gut Issues. It doesn’t have that perfectly vile back of the throat aftertaste tingle that erythritol gives me. (I really can’t understand why erythritol is so popular.) Bocha Sweet makes real, no-compromise ice cream in taste and texture … something i’ve been trying to accomplish without sugar for years. I may go to debtor’s prison soon enough. But I am sold.

So far so good, and update
First off it does taste most like sugar of all the sweeteners I've tried so far, now the other claims; It does have a minor cooling effect if you put it on your tongue by itself, though it hasn't produced the cooling effect in hot tea (British tea with milk, not ice tea or flavoured tea). Not a 1 to 1 ratio for sweetness it is less sweet than sugar. No aftertaste claim is thus far mostly true, it's a very very mild aftertaste and less sensitive palettes may not taste it at all (I haven't baked with it yet, will update when I have), It is very costly compared to other sweeteners, Need to wait to see if I am one of those unlucky folks to have GI upset or headaches from it and will also be testing my ketone levels later and will update accordingly. *Updates! large amounts will kick you out of ketosis small amounts won't, doesn't bake as well as other sugar replacements, no GI issues for anyone in our household. Basically I don't trust the claims and the science seems iffy (for example if it is used as energy as the pack claims then it can't be keto which the pack also claims it is, so at least one of those claims is for sure false) so I felt the need to be a guinea pig I'll let you know how it turns out 🤞

Excellent natural sweetener
I have been using Bochasweet as my go-to keto-sugar substitute for quite some time now. Unfortunately, I recently found out that the company had to discontinue sales in the UK due to rising import taxes, which is disappointing news, as this is not the first product to disappear from our store shelves for this reason in the last few years.

Game Changer! My baked goods are so beautiful!
So we are old pros with low carb and keto. I've tried all the alternative sugars. This sugar alternative is more expensive than I prefer, but after this Thanksgiving holiday with all of my baking, the proof was in how everything turned out. If the cost was lower, I'd be even more happy, but I'm thrilled with the taste and how it performs in my recipes. I had tried allulose to bake with due to the no-cooling effect like erythritol, but it browned too much. This Bocha Sweet is as close to sugar with no aftertaste, no cooling and not one bit of heavy browning in my baking. I'm thrilled. We did not have any stomach upset that sometimes happens with new sugar alternatives. My pumpkin pie was a hit, no one knew it was Keto! Everyone wanted my recipe and were shocked that I used a sugar alternative. I love when I'm able to replicate the "old" way I used to cook and bake. I used it in my cranberry sauce and it was absolutely perfect too. NO ONE KNEW the difference! I was able to grind it into a confectionary type for some frostings too! Not gritty or grainy. It does have a little larger grain than sugar but it melts easily in tea and coffee. I have found my "sugar" and I couldn't be happier! Please find a way to make it lower cost and it would be a perfect 10.

Love it, and no aftertaste.
Bought this when my local store was out. The best solid sugar substitute (in liquid form, the best is pure monk fruit).

Great product
Works as a substitute in both baking and ice cream! Expensive, however... Does not give the runs like conventional knowledge of sugar alcohols suggests, and also does zero to affect blood sugar!

Tastes and bakes like sugar, no aftertaste, zero glycemic, no digestive issues bc of its source
To me, this is the BEST sugar replacement product available. There is ZERO aftertaste, the texture (granules) is almost exactly like sugar, melts like regular sugar, and it’s a functional 1:1 match to cane sugar, tastes almost exactly the same as cane sugar, and is zero glycemic with zero calories. I don’t need to add monkfruit or other sugar substitutes to it to make it taste better (as what is necessary for other non sugar sweeteners). I’ve this product for several years. Made cookies, popsicles, etc with it. I’ve also purchased their powdered sugar which is also excellent. This cane sugar replacement lasts a long time (similar to can sugar that way). My digestive system usually has a problem with many sugar alcohols, but not with this product. That’s probably because the source of this product is a Japanese squash. Other xylitol products made from birch or corn, bother my GI tract a lot, which is one of the many and main reasons I continue to use this product. It’s not cheap, but if you can afford it, do it. You won’t regret it.

No aftertaste
I absolutely despise stevia. The aftertaste is horrible and ,unfortunately, they put it in a lot of products. I have tried many of the popular sweeteners and ,of those I have tried, I love Bocha-sweet the best. One reviewer said they put 4 tablespoons(!) in a cup of coffee and glucose rose 20 points and back to normal in 2 hours. The most I ever use is 1 Tbl. in a mug cake and I don’t have these often. I have also tried their yellow cake mix. It is very expensive but worth it as I don’t have to buy huge bags of almond flour, xanthum gum, psyllium husks, etc etc. to make a small cake. This would have to be an infrequent treat as even on low carb it would be easy to eat the whole thing. I divided the mix in 4 parts as the whole mix requires 4 eggs so then I use only 1 egg and a fourth of the butter. That is all I bake at one time in 2 small ramekins. For me, Bocha-sweet doesn’t cause the digestive upset that others have experienced so I guess you have to experiment with sweeteners to see which ones you can tolerate and taste good to you without impacting glucose and insulin.
