Best Mushroom Coffee ever

Wow! This gives me the same energy and mental clarity as coffee but without the jitters and the crash. I’m very sensitive to substances, whether it be caffeine or sugar or pain relievers. Just a little bit goes a long way for me. So one 4 oz. teacup ☕️ of Mushroom Cacao does wonders. It does have an acquired taste which I don’t mind by itself, but add a little creamer (I use oat milk based vanilla) and you’ve really got something special.

Really good cacao and I like that it's vegan. Although I don't think it has caffeine in it, it definitely gives you bit of energy without the buzz. This was what I first noticed when I tried it after only a few sips, and that part of it is very strong. I can see why they come in serving sizes of only 4 oz. However, to make a proper cup that you can enjoy for a while, you need to use two packets for 8 oz. Which I would recommend. Although, I wouldn't recommend this as just general warm drink, it's not that. It will make you feel too awake. I don't know what they put in this. It doesn't list the exact mushrooms on the package, but whatever it is, it works. The overall flavor is not that sweet or strong, and I have had more chocolatey and creamier cacao before, but I think this is pretty good stuff. You can definitely taste and smell the mushrooms in it, but that isn't an overpowering flavor to the chocolate. Some people may not like that though and would prefer no mushroom flavor. If you expect just the taste of warm chocolate, that won't be it for you.

This is a nice product, nothing great, just nice. It is very tasty when mixed with hot milk but not spicy enough for my taste. The cacao perfectly masks the mushroom taste and if nothing else, this is a healthier cup of hot cocoa. It would be much cheaper to purchase cordyceps powder and cacao powder and add your own sweetener, but these are convenient for travel. Also, these packets are much cheaper at Thrive Market. Lastly, I cannot say I felt any effects at all from the cordyceps. I would recommend Four Sigma's Viking powder if you really want a morning jolt without coffee or caffeine.

Tastes like crap. Burns my throat. Beware of warning on side of box "may cause exposure to lead"! Excuse me? I understand this notice printed on plastic utensils and some food storage containers, but on a box of organic drink mix.? No way!!! My bad for not looking at the pictures of the box before I bought. Tossed it.

I am truly impressed with the couple of things I have purchased from Four Sigmatic. And this "cocoa" drink is MY favorite. I wish I could keep it on hand always, but cost prohibits me from doing so. Therefore, I buy it when I can and savor EVERY LITTLE SIP! Believe me, it's worth it.

The listing is accurate. I enjoyed this product as a treat - it's honestly too pricy for me to buy regularly. It has a distinctive, rich flavor and does *not* taste like mushrooms to me. I add a generous dollop of heavy whipping cream and sucanat sugar and I feel the flavors really come together. Each packet is meant for 4oz of hot water, I use 2 packets for 6 ounces water.

Love the chocolatey taste with a hint of cinnamon and how it keeps me going through the day. I have a sachet every morning mixed with almond milk and it tastes heavenly! Perfect start to the day with this! Definitely trying out other four sigmatic products :)

Ich mag den Geschmack gerne. Es hat Kakao Komponenten, allerdings habe ich auch eine leichte Schärfe (ähnlich wie bei Ingwer) geschmeckt. Die Dosierung nehme ich hoch vor, um den Effekt zu merken und ich bilde mir ein, dass das auch funktioniert. ;)

I seriously love this stuff! I’m so happy a friend of mine had shared a packet with me one day- I’m hooked now. The taste is great, and I have definitely noticed a difference in my overall concentration level and focus while using it consistently. I wish it was cheaper!! That is my only complaint; although I know I’m getting a quality product so I can understand. It’s something I try to buy only when on sale because I’m a frugal person, but it’s worth it if you’re thinking of trying. I use it in a normal cup of coffee (however you’d normally make yours, but add this in too!) sooo good.

I love this product, and look forward to the time I curl up on the sofa with one. I make it with water and top up with unsweetened almond milk. Honestly, I haven't noticed any health benefits but it's tasty, guilt free and quick and easy to prep as sachets = portion. 100% recommend if you're new to mushroom hot chocolate I was once sent some plain mushroom drink by the seller (accidental, they were freindly when notified and I didn't ask for a replacement!). Turns out, I did not enjoy the plain mushroom, not to my taste at all! But halved the sachet, added tablespoon of cacao powder, bit of cinnomon, cardamon and sugar and it tastes a bit like this. Not as good as this cacao mix though!
