Vantrue 11.5ft USB-C Hardwire Kit, Compatible with All Vantrue Dashcams

I bought this to power a Vantrue dash camera. If you own a 24+ GM truck, you already know they don't have the old school 12v plug anymore. With this kit, you can tap into the fuse box and keep what USB ports open for other accessories. The kit did come with a variety of fuse taps, however, it did not include a 3pin fuse tap that I needed and was forced to buy one separately. I didn't know I needed one, so no shade there. Been using for almost 2 months and no issues. I would recommend.

This hardwire kit connected into my car's cabin fuse box without any issue, with long enough cables and a very subtle, nearly invisible appearance. Indeed, if you don't know it's there, and you don't know where to look for it, you will not see it. My car's battery died just after this, but it was not the fault of the hardwire kit - rather, that traditional, flooded lead battery was very near expiration without my realizing it, and the draw from the camera probably brought it to its end. On this note, NB: if you are going to install a hardwire kit for your Vantrue (or other branded) camera, I advise that you make sure that your car battery is an AGM model and not a traditional, flooded lead battery. The reason is that if a camera makes a continuous but small draw of current, AGM batteries are better suited to that. Traditional flooded batteries may provide too much current for such a small need, so may end up wasting energy and shortening their lifespan. To help prevent this, though, this hardwire kit comes with a small low-voltage cutoff switch, which is easy to set at your preference. I set it higher, meaning that if the car battery voltage should fall, the camera will cut out sooner, to help preserve the battery for ignition. That was a very easy change to make. I do recommend this product.

Is the second time that I buy this item buecause I put the same camera in two cars and the quality is good and is working fine , is pretty easy to install . The only reason why I give it 4 star is because this last time . Tha package came with one extra cable from one type and one cable short of another one, which was exactly the one I need it . Luckily I had my old package and I was able to used their cable. An error on packaging

I read many reviews before I purchased this camera and it works great. It has been just under two years and it was time for a review. Sorry, I did not wait a little longer because the wireless one came out a few months later....what a bummer. If I could get a discount for mine I would do a trade-in right away. Oh well, that's life I guess, in any case, the only thing that sucks' in my opinion is the suction mount for the window. It did not last long at all and started falling off right away, I would say maybe in a few months. For the price of the camera, it could have been better quality. Many of you know the issues you must face with window mounts and the sun. It's only a matter of time before they don't work. In my opinion, companies should use EZ Pass velcro which lasts forever or some of you may heard about the Bully Dog gas tuner. Their window mount is out of this world and that device cost about the same price. Once you place it on the windshield you move the tension lever and bang tight as a knot. It never comes off unless you take it off yourself. I just got into the habit of covering my window with a sun visor and any suction cup on my window last longer. It becomes quite cumbersome to remove all my devices. Well, I hope this review helps you in your decision to buy a camera.

I have a 2025 Honda Civic Hatchback Hybrid and installed the Vantrue S1 Pro and my car cannot sit more than two days without the camera completely draining my car battery. It was fine with just the front camera installed for about six months and then when I added the rear camera, nothing but problems from going one week then to two to a constant battery jumping routine. I wish I could return the whole setup. Super disappointed. The dealership suggested unplugging the camera when parked but then what's the point if something happens to the car when IT's PARKED? The car is brand new and the battery is shot from all the constant jumping. Frustrated.
