Twinkle Star Garden Hose Filter, Inline Water Hose Filter Attachment

I used this to keep an oscillating sprinkler inlet screen from clogging every time I used it to water due to the water coming from a well pump. It worked great and they even included an extra screen filter. Right now after using it a couple of days I expect this to last a few years before the UV light degrades the filter housing. Great item for a reasonable price!

Although this states it's for a garden hose or pressure washer, I saw other reviewers using it for the same purpose that I did. Our well gets varying levels of sediment depending on the water table and time of year...we got sick of cleaning the sediment screen on our washing machine every load and looked for work arounds. This exceeded my expectations. We typically have 6-8 loads of wash to do at a time, and this made it through our entire laundry day routine with no issues. You have no idea the joy something so stupidly simple brings us! Per the instructions - we turn off the water supply between wash days to prevent damage to the filter, and clean it and allow to dry afterwards as well. The only issue we had was a small leak, but we fixed that with some plumber's tape on the threads.

They’re alright, they do what I need them to. I ordered a couple for my washing machine so they’ll be static and not under a lot of strain. You MUST use PTFE tape on every thread, even the ones on the body that the cup screws onto. One of them has given me no trouble at all, no leaks or anything. The second I had to tighten down more than expected to stop a small leak at the cup, and one at the female connection. They did end up stopping, but I’ll have to keep an eye on that one. Otherwise, I can’t really complain much more than that. I am glad I got them despite some of the other complaints I’ve seen. I wouldn’t have a problem recommending these, but do your due diligence and read the reviews further.

The Twinkle Star Hose Filter Attachment with 100 Mesh and 40 Mesh Screen has been a major game changer for my sprayer. My 26 gallon sprayer (Fimco — top brand for sprayer pumps and tanks) was constantly clogging the tiny filter under the tank. Every time it clogged I had to flip the tank upside down, dealing with leaks and spilled Roundup. Adding this filter inline with some hose pipe made it much slower to clog, super easy to see when it needs cleaning, and incredibly simple to rinse out. No more flipping the tank. Highly recommend if you're dealing with sprayer clogs. Would I recommend? Yes, 5 stars.

PLEASE do not buy this if you are using this indoors. My experience was just like some of the other reviews here, I loved it at first! For about 5 months it worked very well and cleaned up the sediment on the way to my washing machine. And then I woke up at 3: 00 AM in the morning to hear a fountain. Water was spraying OUT OF THE BOTTOM! There is no movement here where I had the filter installed at all , this only happened under normal water pressure. Screwing this in tighter will not fix the problem, that's what I thought at first. Now I have to deal with serious water damage! There is manufacturing issues with this product.

Had trouble finding a decent cordless handheld spa pump/filter to get debris out of the bottom of a hot tub. Bought several and returned them all because they lacked any appreciable suction. Bought this to add to the output of a handheld stick transfer pump I already owned that really moves water well. Works great! Screws onto standard garden hose thread (GHT). Durability yet to be determined as I’ve had it one day.

Works great and seems high quality. Needed to add on my power washer inlet.

Ordered this twice, the second one just broke. Used this for a drip irrigation system in the garden. Last season I left it out over the winter and come spring the clear plastic cup had cracked. Ice expands, so I figured it was my fault and ordered a second. It's the middle of August now and I just came home to a fountain of water spraying out of the filter. It developed a hairline crack right along the bottom, and I don't blame myself this time. I'll be ordering a third to finish out the season (at least it's only $14), but will be replacing it with something more reliable next year. For now I'm going to see if I can repair this one with some UV cure superglue.

Filter as described. Ready to use when received, simply attach to the water source and to the hose. The clear sediment bowl makes it easy to see if sediment is accumulating. When disconnected it is easy to drain.
