I need to replace one of the black caps for the screw what size is it ?

This is difficult to answer because the actual 'black' knob on the screw has five lobes on it - making it hard to get an accurate measurement. I would have thought that the screw and cap were one unit (as they appear to be on my easel). Sorry I could not be more helpful.
