Vortex Bimini Tops are made with the best marine fabric available. The fabric is marine polyester that is treated and sealed in multiple ways. Specifically, it is double polyurethane coated on the bottom, or down side, as well as UV protected and sealed. Polyester and acrylic are very similar for bimini tops. Polyester has a very rich color and holds up to UV exposure very well. Vortex Bimini Tops are simply the best option out there due to the quality, warranty, and incredible value. As far as the support system/framework, it is made with 1" round tube anodized aluminum. Anodizing is just a process that increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance of a metal. Aluminum is the best metal for the framework of a bimini top. Then, it is treated to make it even better. The fittings and hardware are all heavy duty nylon and stainless steel(mounting screws hooks, and eye straps). Instructions are included with the Vortex Bimini Top. Installation is very easy for anyone with even moderate handyman type skills. It is a very easy 2 person job, with very very basic hand tools. A cordless drill, tapemeasure, screwdriver, pencil, etc. It is a 1 to 2 hour job...maybe a little less with a helper. _______________________________________________________ Specifics for this top: Color of fabric: GREEN Length of top: 8' Width: easily fits width between mount points of 91-96" Height: 54" (when mounted to top of rails/gunwales, which averages 18-24" high), makes for nice overall height from boat floor of 6 to 6 1/2 ft high. 5 year warranty on defects in materials, both for frame and for fabric.

Lighter Duty than last bimini on this boat, but is much easier to carry down to sip. I would purchase again.

Inexpensive but needs work to make it work
Arrived timely and in good shape, but the instructions were for a 3-pole Bimini top, which did not reflect the assembly of the 4-pole. The instructions said "match the numbers on the poles to assemble" but there were no numbers to match. Once the assembly was figured out, it worked well until the rivets broke in the rear pole. The holes are the same size as their bolted partners, so I have purchased additional bolts both for the one that broke and in anticipation for the 7 others to go.

Dirctions lacking
Once product together it is fine. Directions were lacking and had missing hardware. Had to use hardware from old top to get item fixed

Its OK
I read the reviews and thought that by now the company would have fixed the issue with missing hardware. Nope. I am missing two bolts and one of the nuts is not threaded. Serious quality control issue in my opinion. I think I will take the first review seriously and buy extra hardware and keep it on hand for when the rivets go.Also the directions were the worst I've ever read. There were no numbers on any of the equipment and it took a while to figure out.Let's hope it holds up well.

Happiest I could be in December
Great product. Haven't installed it due to winter storage but looked through parts. They feel great. Very pleased with the quality. It looks stronger than others I've seen. The top feels great and the color is rich. I couldn't be happier unless it was summer. Great company to deal with. I needed some different hardware to install and they are sending out no questions asked and promptly.Thanks again
