The Rising of the Shield Hero Volume 17: Light Novel

Amazing book and it arrived in great condition! The story felt less dark and more comedic this time which was a great change in scenery.

Love this story

The story continues on back to the stage of Kizuna’s world. Naofumi and co reunites with Raphtalia – yay! I don’t have really much to say. While the plot is moving along with Naofumi getting a bit closer to whose behind the waves, it just felt too familiar at this point. Kizuna’a world is in a mess with more hero weapon thieves. Villains seems to be copy and paste. The musical instrument vessel holder is another Takt. Thankfully his life was cut short. But another woman appears, she’s seems to be a more competent Witch. Naofumi’s shield is taken – again. But with a nice and interesting replacement. I think it was a good read. Even the bow hero had a bit of a development. But starting to miss the early volumes of adventuring with less amount of characters. Looking at the next volume’s synopsis, its seems to be a filler. Love the “Restaurant to Another World” series, so the filler is welcomed but probably wait for a price drop around $10.

At this point witch and armor needs killed off they have meddled for far to long, and what’s with the bad guys having harems now it is taking me away from the seriousness of the story, moments that I feel are important are being drowned out by these people that for all intents and purposes have nothing to offer the plot but serve to annoy the readers needlessly. All that aside, I love that we are back to check on glass and friends and rescue a well beloved character.

Takt comes back! Oh wait, no... his musically gifted "clone" appears. The story is dragging on and just like with Takt's battle, destroys all the build up of techniques and magic the heroes learned to be initially overpowered by the villains and then Deus ex machina the good guys to end up overpowering the villains. Itsuki's development is the most welcomed part in this volume. Not a terrible read but not good either.

Libro ricevuto in condizioni perfette, sta volta nessun danno in spedizione. Per quanto riguarda la serie, ormai la si segue per affetto e completare la collezione, ma continua ad intrattenere anche dopo tanti volumi.

Can never get enough of this story. Every character has their part. It has a strong message overall and you really grow attached to the main characters.
