Love it
I've been using the Kaytee Aspen Small Animal Pet Bedding for my guinea pigs, and overall, I'm quite pleased with it. The bedding is made from natural aspen wood shavings, which are free from harmful chemicals and additives, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for my pets. One of the things I love most about this bedding is its excellent absorbency. It keeps the cage dry and odor-free for a longer time compared to other beddings I've tried. Cleaning the cage has become much easier, and my guinea pigs seem to enjoy the clean and comfortable living space. The shavings are also virtually dust-free, which is a significant plus. I've noticed a reduction in respiratory issues since switching to this product. It's soft and gentle on my guinea pigs' feet, and they love burrowing and nesting in it. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey compared to other options. However, the quality and peace of mind it provides are well worth the extra cost. If you're looking for a reliable and safe bedding option for your small pets, I highly recommend Kaytee Aspen Small Animal Pet Bedding.

THE BEST BEDDING FOR RATS ๐
I buy a new bag of this at least once a month for my rat cage. If you have rats, this is the best bedding. Rats can get stinky and this bedding absorbs both the *potty* and the smell. It's soft on their paws and cleans easily. The bag is so big and I replace the bedding twice a week. I'll stay buying this and I would never trust anything else

If you need to know what size bag to order
I bought two of the 54 Liter bags in case I needed both for the 2 glass fish tanks I have. They are a 40 or 50 gallon (I think 40) and a 20 gallon long. The larger tank is 32 inches wide and 18 inches deep (height doesn't really matter for this) and I'll call it a 40 gallon. Out of one 54 Liter bag which is roughly the size of a overstuffed standard or queen size bed pillow - the 40 gallon tank got about 6 inches of bedding in it, and the 20 long got about 3 inches. I'll assume that's gonna fluff up a little bit once they start doing their thing. I haven't opened the 2nd 54 Liter bag I bought and may not bother. I've never tried this bedding before for the 2 gerbils I have so I'll see how it works out. My default gerbil bedding has always been that brown Eco -Bedding which is the thin brown accordian style paper strips. That's always worked good for me and has been great for the gerbils to tunnel around in. It's nice too because that stuff really fluff up once they start moving it around and gets pretty deep. The dust is never really bad with that - even with letting the bedding go longer than I should. Last time I had to buy bedding I got stuck having to buy that more cotton-ish fluffy colored paper wadding type bedding (I needed it that day and that's all that was available in the store) and I'm never using that stuff again. Way too much dust from that stuff and it just disintegrates over time. I figured I'd try something new again and picked this. Seems to get decent reviews, it does have a nice natural odor to it so far. We'll see how it works out and I'll come back to report. Downside is this doesn't appear it will expand too much over time. So the gerbil's landscaping ability may be a bit more limited. Might be a good thing since I'm tired of bowls disappearing under 10 or 12 inches of bedding. My routine has been to rotate these guys back and forth between the 40 gallon and 20 gallon tanks when I clean them - since I've had to separate these guys and can't keep them together anymore given their fighting. So if I don't open this other bag I'll get at least one more cleaning for each cage. I may mix some of that accordian paper in with it next time if it needs some more fluff and tunnel stability. But yea - you CAN get a 40/50 gallon and a 20 Long out of one 54 liter bag, if you don't go too deep with it. 2/3 of the bag in the larger tank and 1/3 into the smaller. For the small price difference between the 19L and 54L bags you might as well just buy the bigger one and keep it on hand if you don't need it all at once.

Works better than paper bedding
I really like this Aspen bedding. A cost less than the paper bedding. And it has a natural Forest feeling to it. Aspen bedding is safe for rabbits. Pine bedding isn't though!

Great quality and very comfortable
I'm very happy with this purchase. The bed is soft, comfortable, and well made. My pet started using it right away and seems to love it. It arrived in excellent condition and looks exactly like the pictures. I would definitely recommend it.

Great for small animal cages
We use this in our rat cage. I think it is very absorbent and helps keep the smell down and one bag gets us several cage cleanings. We clean his cage twice a week but could probably wait a little longer.

Great hamster bedding
Great bedding for a hamster, very low dust and it goes a long way. I won't buy anything else.

Absolutely horrible
Full of little brown mites, and super dusty. Gave my hamster a respiratory infection (clicking noises when he was breathing) and vet confirmed both the mites as well as respiratory infection.

This is huge!!
Loved the matetial and my dwarf hamsters did too! The quantity is huge and enough for not less than 3-6 months for a medium size cage. Highly recommended

Eliminates almost all odours
My cats didn't know sweetie what to do with this litter as it is not gravel, but once they figured out out, no issues. And also, almost no smell. Doesn't clump, but urine turns the pellets to powder

Okay but pricey
It's fine but I don't think it's really worth the money.
