Is this capatible with audio microphone into usb c? I would like to use this to send audio from my microphone to my gopro

I use it to connect a Rode lapel microphone to my smartphone. It works well for that. Will the GoPro accept audio input on the USB port?

This is the best at supporting phone calls! I use it everyday day for that! It's simple, reliable, and best of all doesn't break! Not like the cheap one out there. I'm so happy I bought this! I'm a customer for life!

Could the adapter be used to make phone call with Samsung S20 Ultra?

This is a DAC, or essentially an adapter to add a traditional headphone jack to a phone lacking one. If you use a pair of headphones that have a microphone, or any sort of microphone device then it will work just like it would if you had a headphone jack. It is capable of both audio in or out, based on the universal USB-C spec agreed to by manufacturers, as it notes in the poorly written description.

What causes the usb c to get really hot? That happened with a trrs adapter plugged into it.

I believe that is within normal operational range for a dac chip. Mine gets warm approaching "hot" but cools off quickly. The aluminum case around the dac chip acts like a mini heatsink exchanging the heat outward (thus cooling it).
