I have really bad ridges from health issues. I bought this set for the chamois nail buffer. Really like it. Buffs to a high shine. The nail file is an unexpected plus. It files my nails super quick without snags. Ordering a 2nd set. Also have been using Hard as Hoof. Between the 2 products and biotin, my nails are looking better and better.

It seemed cheap, but I took a chance. The glass file is amazing, no snagging the nails as you shape them, and it brought my nails to a high shine that lasted with no buffing cream. The glass file and buffer are just the right size to carry with me. i will order more for work and home and car. After cancer treatments my nails were weak and had high vertical ridges and horizontal dents. This smoothed it all out within 8 minutes!! It also got rid of the hangnails that kept bleeding, so that was an unexpected bonus. This is the real deal. you do not need instructions. just file and shape like you would with a normal file. smooth them across or up and down like you are rubbing lotion on with the file. Play around with directions and pressures with the filing. i did not need oil or cream. the glass file did a great job on it's own. Great value. It is the real deal and I am very satisfied.

I liked the glass file. It works very well except that it is so tiny that it's almost too small to use easily. The buffer doesn't do anything for my nails which are very hard.

After reading the reviews I had to write one myself clearing up a few things. First let me say that it is a good value for the money. The little glass file is a nice size. It is great for filing the nail. I wish there were directions and it came with buffing cream, which is needed. Without using the cream on your nails is like waxing your car without wax and only a dry buffer. The cream is cheap but needed. So for the directions that are missing. File nails, do your cuticles. Then use the glass file on the top part of your nails to get the ridges out. .Put the buffing cream on your nails. Buff with the buffer. Done. The shine does not last all week. The ridges start appearing and it needs to be rebuffed mid week to really look good. But it only takes 2 or 3 minutes to do do it's no hassle. I gave it 4 stars because of the lack of directions and no buffing cream. Hope this helps!

I have been looking all over for one of these buffers but no one carries them. The box it came in was super cute. It's perfect. I have been using it every day since I got it and it's still in great condition. The nail file it came with is ok but not fond of it but gets the job done. The buffer isn't huge like some of the others I have bought in the past. It's easy to hold, fits perfectly in my hand, and small enough to put into your purse. UPDATE: still using on a daily basis and doing a wonderful job. My 16 yr old never takes care of her nails and has just started the past 2 weeks. She's taken over my buffer so I'm ordering her one and me another. Also I just figured out the spring around it does come off. So if you can find a replacement cloth for it you can take the old one off and put on a new one.

OMG!!! What a great product!!! In these changed times and not being able to have my nails done professionally, I turned to doing them myself. I needed a good old fashion buffer and WOW this product is that and more!! The sweet, sweet packaging made me feel like I had received a gift! And that little satin bow made it even more special. Such a good old-fashion ladylike feeling! The buffer is made very well and a throw back to my mother’s when I was a child! I love the little glass file. So easy to use! Lastly, the cute little note included made me feel special and cared for by you folks during these extraordinarily difficult times for us all! What a great little gift for people!

This is a great value. The buffer looks nicer than most nail buffers, the cover is a very pale grey. The handle is white. Nothing is labeled, so I don't know if it is a real chamois, but it feels and buffs like chamois. As a bonus, it comes with a small glass nail file. I just recently learned about glass nail files, so this was a happy extra. I'm now in love with the glass nail file. The buffer and file come in a pretty box that would be great for gifting, except there were two large stickers on the box. They don't remove cleanly and really detract from the appearance of the box. It didn't matter for me, as I purchased this for myself, but it could make a difference if you wanted to gift this.

I had a chamois buffer years that I loved. I decided to do my own manicures and tried this buffer. It is poor quality and doesn't buff to a shine. Don't waste your money.

The only reason I gave it a 3 was because there was no specific instructions that stated a conditioner was needed as well. Which is not sold with item. I have used similar products years ago and always included the cream. Their photos do show a small container, which I wrongly assumed was with the product. The buffer is strong and I feel will last me a long time. The small glass nail filer is perfect to travel with and does the job. Which I love!
