Just as expected, arrived on time and so well packed even the most stupid driver would have had to try very hard to break the glass.

3 out of 6 of the jars we have of this size have developed chipped glass rims where the metal stresses the glass. Had glass shards in food and also cut myself. An issue with all Parfait jars we have but especially this size.

There is a design flaw with these jars: the metal clasp breaks the glass at the rim upon opening/closing. My husband nearly cracked a tooth when he bit the piece of glass. I gave a jar of granola away as a gift to a family and I had to hastily warn them: the same thing had happened to their jar. Hundreds of 1 star reviews describe the same problems, but amazingly, even people leaving 2, 3 and 4 star reviews describe the same issue! These jars need to be recalled. They are not safe.

Appears to be three times the price of Le Parfait's website.

Wire closure causes pieces of glass to chip off when opening and closing. Having to throw entire contents away for fear of ingesting glass.

I'm not one to write about canning supplies so, when it gets written about, read it! The canning jars are superior in every single way to any and all spring-loaded jars I have ever used. From the robust rubber gasket to the sturdy metal cage, the glass jar is simply well-constructed. Stop looking and hit the purchase button so you don't waste your time looking at inferior canning equipment.
