EF - Premium Assorted Baklava, 30 OZ (850G), Kosher, Halal

So, I bought this for Easter. Why Amazon? Because I have gone to middle eastern stores near me and purchased freshly made, as well as pre-made and the one product I really liked, my local store stopped carrying, so instead of trying something new and hoping to get lucky, I figured let me turn to Amazon and rely on reviews. What I liked about the reviews written was that the only real complaint was that it was a little dry. Well, I've made my own baklava in the past and am very careful to not overdo it with the syrup because baklava is supposed to be sweet and crispy! Not soggy! Which is what I find a lot when buying local. Let me say . . . I bought the larger box. Came in perfect condition! But crispy and just enough sweetness. Two days after Easter and it's almost gone! Deeee-licious!!! The best by far. The only reason I gave 4 stars on flavor was it was missing the Rose Water that I use and others use when baking Baklava. If I wanted to I could mix a little in a syrup and sprinkle some on, but IT'S ALMOST GONE!! Maybe next time!

I’ve always loved baklava, and I have been craving it lately. The packaging was secure and every single one was perfect. The baklava was delicious and fresh. Nothing beats buttery, sweet honey, flaky-thin layers with nuts! There’s 5 different kinds & I loved them all EXCEPT the 2nd from right (last pic)- it tasted like booty & very different from the rest. I did not deduct stars because I’m not sure if it’s supposed to taste like that. And some people may enjoy it.

I ordered a larger box of this baklava in the past, based on great reviews. That box came with a broken corner on the plastic lid, but overall was enjoyable. Not the best baklava I've ever had, but I realize there are different kinds of baklava and so different preferences as well.I went to reorder another baklava I had previously enjoyed better, but it was unavailable. Not wanting to spend a lot of money, I opted on this brand again, but a smaller box. This box was really awful, though.Some pieces were very dry--the nests were hard to bite--and the pistachios tasted a bit rancid. The layered squares, however, were soggy with syrup and the layers were doughy, as if not fully cooked (gross!). The square pieces with the folded-in tips were highly spiced with cinnamon but were really the only decently flavored pieces in the box.I won't order this again. The consistency of their product is unreliable, and even at its best is not fantastic.

My only complaint is that 2 of my pieces didn’t have anything in them! I don’t know if this is mechanically made or what, but someone… or someTHING missed filling two of my pieces with pistachios! So that sucks. But overall this product is definitely worth the money.Much less soaked in syrup than other brands. I also like that this is made in the USA. The quality is higher than the products I buy internationally. The cost is also more reasonable.Overall?id have given 5 stars had all my pieces been correct ;)

The first time we ordered this item we were taken by the deliciously scrumptious Baklava flavors made just right. We reordered from the same but what we got on second order was not the same as first. Dry, hard, you could tell it had some kind of clear syrup but no honey, we were certainly not happy as it totally did not taste as Baklava should :( Nothing to do with packaging as it was perfectly and carefully packaged and delivery was swift but unfortunately the Baklava just wasn’t right.

I guess I’m just used to Greek baklava which has a honey and lemon syrup. This product just uses plain sugar syrup. It’s quite bland and boring and not satisfying. Furthermore, the product I received does not match the pictures, they are different shapes.There was one phyllo cup that was round and was supposed to have nuts in it, but there was nothing in it! The few cups that had nuts were a paltry amount. I ate about half and then threw the rest away, not worth the calories, I would not purchase this again.

Product looked brown, was banged up in delivery process, tasted old, not fresh at all. Was soggy, not crunchy. Very disappointed because we love baklava. Do not buy.

Absolutely delicious and at the best price I’ve found, has a creamy butter flavor with undertone of citrus . I was cautious because the other reviews said it was like a cookie and very sugary, but not at all. This Baklava is perfect and I will buy 20 more times. Thankful for the hands the prepared this yummy dessert .
