WESCO PET PARROT CHIPS BIRD CHEW TOY

My Sweet Pea loves these, but she destroys them in moments. Was very pleased with the quality and quantity for the price. They are on repeat delivery!! I recommend storing in a Ziploc bag for moisture retention. Not as easy to destroy lol

My parakeets really enjoy shredding these up. Great entertainment and exercise for them and they help keep their beaks in shape. I recommend these for your parrots.

I wanted to write a review to provide information I was lacking when I purchased this item. I ordered these along with Wesco Pet Original Bird Kabob Shreddable Bird Toy original size because I wanted to see which would be the most bang for my buck. I wasn't sure how large the bag would be or what would be involved in stringing them to hang in the cage. As to the first matter, the bag contains much more material than the toy about twice as much. The pieces are also larger, ranging from 2"-3" in diameter, whereas the toy discs are about 1-1/2" in diameter. Pieces in this package have a harder shell on the outside of the ring, so it takes a bit more time to shred them. As to the second matter, turns out they are very easy to string. Most of them seemed to have a hole in them already ideal for stringing. For those that did not, these things are VERY porous and come apart almost as easily as Styrofoam packaging peanuts, so a hole can be added using a toothpick, a pencil, or any number of readily available household items. Didn't realize how bored our lovebird was until we put the kabob toy into her cage and she shredded it in a few days. I think these in the package will last a little longer because of the harder shell on the outside. Overall, great product, and it's made of a type of cactus, so no worries about ingesting chemicals.

My African Grey is in love with these things! I string them on a bent metal hangar and leave it near her favorite spot to perch. I must have ordered this 50 times.

Save your money on this one. Pieces fall apart very easily. My parrot loves the wood but there are better qualities from the pet shop.

I bought these for chew toys for our rabbits. Yucca is great for their digestion and wears down the teeth, and they love to chew on it. Most places will double the price when it's marked "for rabbits", but this works just as well and costs a fraction of the price.

To save money from the pre-made version of the yucca wood chip that my bird mows through like a machine, I buy these bags of yucca chips and string these on the hemp twine that previous toys came on. Once you have the tools: a pick to make a hole in middle of each chip ( I use a barbeque skewer), the twine, and maybe some little wood blocks that are drilled to be spacers (using old toy parts that are still good), I can make this toy for one-third the cost of the ready-made versions. That said, she still only takes a couple of hours to chew ONE of these toys (made with about 5 of the chips plus 5 spacers) and you can make 3 to 4 toys from one package.

I order these for one of my lovebirds who is obsessed with them. The reason for the three stars is majority of the time, the whole ones are extremely hard for me to break up for him. I end up not using them so it’s wasted money on my end. The photo is whole chips I’ve had that will not break. It’s annoying. I keep them so I can keep trying from time to time. I wish they sold these in either cut up options or whole for different types of birds preferences. It’s not worth the money but I get them because my bird loves them so much. The things I do for love.

This product is great! Varying chucks of dried yucca that are easy to wedge seeds into for birds to rip apart. Yoga is a soft, spongy wood so they can get destroyed fairly quickly, but the bird sure does have a grand time while doing it! This is the same brand the pet stores sell, but nice to have a bulk bag of pieces. For what I'm finding anywhere else, the price seems good to me. I will definitely re buy.

Meine 5 Wellensittiche leben in einer großen Voliere zusammen und haben mehr als genug Anreiz zum knabbern durch Kork und Korkenzieherhasel. Jetzt wollten wir aber zusätzlich noch Bird Kabob ausprobieren. Wir haben uns für die Bird Kabob Parrot Chips entschieden. Sie lassen sich sehr leicht z.b. mit einer Wäscheklammer befestigen. Kaum im Käfig werden die Scheiben auch schon in ihre Einzelteile zerlegt :). Meine beiden Krawallhennen beschäftigen sich stundenlang mit den Scheiben - sehr empfehlenswert gegen Langeweile ;).

.... man kennt es: Die Wellis brauchen "Bespaßung". Auf der Suche nach Knabberzeug bin ich an das Bird Kabob gekommen. Und was soll ich sagen: Nach ein paar Minuten Skepsis sind meine Wellies nicht mehr von dem Knabberkram wegzukriegen. Die Scheiben warden kleingeschrotet und nach Strich und Faden zerkrümelt. Die haben eine Menge Vergnügen daran. Der Preis ist annehmbar für das Knabberwohlfühlvergngügen meiner kleinen Piepser. Vielen Dank
