This is a terrific product that does just exactly what it was designed to do! I used it to wrap the HVAC supply runs in my older home and what a difference it has made! Very easy to work with. But just like any project, make sure you know what you are doing. Long sleeves, light gloves, a hat and even a face mask helps because the insulator in this product is fiberglass and it can shed in the installation process. That is to be expected. I think you would be very hard put to find a better product for it's intended use.

Worked well for insulating bathroom exhaust tubing. No issues other than it does shed lots of fiberglass partials so wear a mask for overhead work.

Worked good for covering duct work around vent boots

First, the facts. The backing is not foil, it’s Mylar. The backing separates from the fiberglass quite easily. It’s made in China. Use with extreme care! Having said all that, I did get my project, covering the outgoing air manifold on the furnace, completed. However it took lots of time and tape to do it. So, three stars from me.

I have a 15 foot dryer vent pipe from the laundry room through the attic roof. Unfortunately, no want to vent from the wall or shorter distance. The Insulation raps nicely around 4" dryer pipe and significantly reduces lint build up from cold exposure in the attic. Plus reduces dryer time.

Ive used this and the duct wrap version for the last several decades. This last couple of years it has been significantly cheaper made while being more expensive. The backing is no longer actually foil. It is a silver plastic that is no better at sticking to its own fiberglass insulation thant it is to insulation tape. A better quality product is still far more expensive so struggle with it. Update: It is literally falling off of the duct. This should just be sold as " garbage" and not duct wrap. I spent more on tape and wires to make it stay in place than if I just bought actual wrap. Amazon should be ashamed selling this.

Product worked as advertised and easy to put on, assuming you can get access to the pipes. Easy to cut when needed. I covered some 90 degree bends with success— just used some metal HVAC tape to secure the pipe insulation. I didn’t use gloves to protect my hands from the insulation material, but probably should have. Ordered a second roll to do some other pipes as well.
