Fantastic quality of food dye gel. It has worked for buttercream, cookie dough, and dying rice flour. The wide variety of colors is really nice, and each color has multiple shades that can be easily achieved with just a few drops that mix in really easily. They are odorless and haven't impacted any flavor.

So glad I bought these. I did the amateur thing and bought food coloring, then Wilton brand gel coloring and finally stopped wasting money when I got these.. perfect color, nicely sealed and packaged, and the texture doesn’t ruin your frosting recipes

I didn't have much experience with food coloring and decided to give these a go. I was blown away by the quality of these colors, their vibrancy, ease of use, the variety of colors they have... I have had no issues with leakage, this is an incredible value for something you'll use for a long time. I can't recommend these highly enough.

This product received only 4 of 5 star rating not due to product quality, but listing confusion. The listing photo does not match the typed description, which is misleading. I receieved the standard "Student Kit" colors included as listed on box lable, one .75 oz bottles of each of the following 12 colors: Super Black, Royal Blue, Sky Blue, Chocolate Brown, Lemon Yellow, Teal, Leaf Green, Orange, Deep Pink, Super Red, Violet and Fuchsia. The product is great...the best icing coloring out there. I like the gel colors so much better than Wilton's gel paste jars due to the fact that the AmeriColor gels are liquid, can be dispensed by drops (not digging a tooth pick inside the Wilton jar), and colors can be mixed and duplicated consistently time after time by recording the number of drops per color to get your desired mix. Wonderful price too...better than other baking suppliers I have used in the past!

New to using food coloring, but was thoroughly happy with the outcome. Easy to build up the color to get a perfect shade of what you’re looking for. Doesn’t make the frosting taste bitter. A little goes a long ways, so the size is not an issue. Packing was great, didn’t have any leakage. There’s a good variety in colors, especially for just starting out!

I bought this product for making my own play dough for my two toddlers, and it did not disappoint! I had previously tried the generic supermarket food colorings, then switched to Wilton icing colors, but for the price, this set is fantastic! The only three colors that had trouble coloring my dough were black, purple, and fushia. The fushia was just a grainy pasty light purple, the purple turned into a grainy washed-jean demin, and the black was able to turn black with more added color. The rest of the colors were amazing! It took surprisingly little of the dye, compared to what I had to use with Wilton (which of course had meant many toothpicks and plastic knives for getting the colors out of the tubs), and the colors were easy to dispense from the squeeze bottle. These colors were so vibrant! Even the brown was absolutely stunning as a dough color, and again, took very little dye to accomplish a nice lush color. I think my favorites were the green and the orange. The blues turned nearly the same color with the dough, but I imagine the difference would be much more noticeable in something like icing. All in all, these colors were great! I definitely recommend them to moms looking to make colorful playthings for their kids.
