Best all around for college students! Best customer service!
This is my 3rd year of owning this scooter, and it has been a fantastic experience. I use this to commute around my university campus as my classes are quite far, and parking is quite a nightmare; therefore, moving my car around wouldn't be the best economic choice. Best customer service: I would also like to add that GOTRAX customer service is beyond my expectations. The quick reply and the best solution to the issues I have encountered are extremely appreciated. I thank the GOTRAX support team for this. Mileage/Battery I have tested it to fully last within 12-14 miles, which is plenty for 4-5 days on a completely full charge. I highly recommend only charging it when at 2/4 or 1/4 bars left. The battery will get warm when riding, but that's completely normal. ** Warning: The charger brick gets very hot; please place it on something that is not flammable or something that can withstand semi-extreme heat. It's not hot enough to burn something, but hot enough to damage something. Durability/Care Compared to other scooters that students use across campus, there are many people with this specific model of e-scooters, and for the best reason. The quality is quite outstanding. The Tiller and most parts are created with metal or metal-based parts, giving it a durable and strong last. I highly recommend to semi-wash your scooter. BUT NOTE: don't submerge or fully blast it with water. What I do is wrap multiple layers of plastic bags or covers in the battery/tiller area. Then I would use an angled spray to hose down the board base and underneath. For the wheels and breaks, I would grab a semi-watery rag and wipe it fully. Please do this at least 2-3 times a month for the best quality and last of the scooter. Conclusion It has now been 3 years. I love my scooter, and it gives me major trust in this brand. I thought of getting other big-name brand e-scooters, but the ratings and reliability scores are through the roof, so I gave it a shot. I highly recommend this to academic students, college, high school, etc. It has amazing value and is built to last. Thank you. [EDIT: January 23, 2024, now 3 years of use from 3 months of use of the last review]

Built to Last & Easy to Fix: Great Long-Term Scooter
I purchased this scooter in September 2022, and I’ve really come to appreciate the thought Gotrax put into its design. What stands out most is how easy it is to repair. Over time, I’ve had a few minor issues, but nothing major. Whenever something came up, I either checked online or contacted customer service via email with a quick photo and explanation. They responded with clear guidance, and I was able to order the necessary part and install it myself. The scooter is easy to dismantle, which makes diagnosing and fixing small problems straightforward. I also love that the battery is housed in the stem rather than under the deck; it feels better protected from water and road debris. Overall, this scooter has held up very well and is still running great. For the price and long-term durability, I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

Long lasting smooth ride
I bought this scooter 2 years ago, and it's still working like it did the first day. It still maintains its normal speed, and breaks still work. I recently got a flat tire, and when inquiring with the GoTrax support, they ended up sending me a free tire. I was asked to write this review on the product after they helped me out and I gladly agreed. Customer support was quick to respond and help through email and within about a week and a half I had my new tire. I will give a fair pro's and cons review still. Pros: -the battery lasts awhile. Riding into work in the morning and then back to where I parked after work is around 3 miles total trip every day. By the end of the day it's still usually above half unless I try and go up more uphill terrain. -the tires have been amazing. Other than big potholes I can't feel all the bumps and cracks, and the bigger tires mean I don't have to worry about getting caught up. The tire was hard to change but no more difficult than any other scooter it's just how it is. -having two speeds, I don't really use the 1st setting (max 10 mph) and really only use the 2nd setting (max 15 mph) - I weigh about 168 with my work gear and backpack, and the scooter still moves at full speed. (In the winter with my big coat I lost maybe 1 or 2 mph) -I live in Washington where it rains 90% of the year, and have never had issues with this scooter being wet from the rain. -I have a thumb injury, so the cruise control is nice, but it does have a negative (see cons) - as far as scooters go in this tier this one is really light, and I can carry up the stairs with one hand. It folds well. - I have had no issues with brakes. -was easy to assemble -the base us wide enough to fit my feet well even with work boots on. -charges quickly. -headlight is nice and bright can see far out ahead, though there is a dark spot right in front of the front tire. - can go through gravel, with some light pushing can also make it up hills. -has well set up ergonomics, all the controls are within reach while driving. Cons: -battery display seems inconsistent but I always see this in scooters. With the light on and cruise control the battery will drop to one bar, then if you turn all that off the battery will jump back up to 3/4 or even full. -the back fender gets slick in the rain if you need that brake, I added my own griptape to the top of it to help with that. -brake line took some adjustments for while, I think just how stretched it is. -the clip on the back fender to hook onto the handle bars when folding doesn't always lock in or stay locked it, it says adjustable but anyway I set mine I still had issues, I remedied this by wrapping the clip with the electrical tape and that works so the clip just isn't big enough to fully grab the hook after time (could be wear and tear?) -the cruise control is nice, but it says it takes about 10 seconds to kick in, which can be a problem if your riding for 10 seconds and have to stop and turn, then suddenly when you let off the trigger you're still going full speed. It is easy to disengage (by pressing throttle again or hitting the brakes) but that's probably the most dangerous issue I've faced, and would be nice if there was a dedicated button or switch by the left thumb to engage and disengage the cruise control.

Very poor quality
I purchased this scooter in 6/2023. Initially, it functioned well, but just after a month of use, the throttle stopped working. I contacted support and, after sending them a video demonstrating the problem, they confirmed the piece was damaged and sent a replacement. The replacement took about 2 weeks to arrive, so in the meantime, I had to walk to work. Once I received the replacement, the scooter worked fine for a while, but then it started making a terrible, loud sound. Whenever I'm going uphill, it makes this loud, terrible squealing sound, and I have to kick to assist it, or else it won't go up, and it would completely drain the battery. Speaking of the battery, it lasts no more than 3 or 4 miles and its endurance seems to be diminishing over time. I fear that soon I won't even be able to complete my usual 2-mile round trip before the scooter dies. My girlfriend bought a Volpam scooter for a very similar price and it works great: the battery lasts several days, it doesn't make any noise, it goes faster, and it doesn't die going uphill. I wouldn't recommend this scooter to anyone. Sadly, I might have to buy a new one soon because I don't think this one will last much longer. Overall, it was a very bad experience. Don't waste your money on this scooter. Update (Dec-2023): The throttle stopped working again out of nowhere. The worst part is that I was going downhill when the screen turned off and the brakes didn't respond when the scooter was off. So I was fortunate enough to have the green light ahead when this happened and that no one was in front. Otherwise, this could have ended up pretty bad. I don't know what else to say at this point. Complete disappointment and waste of money.

Customer Service is top notch
**updating my initial 2 star review** I do like the scooter, but after a few days, I had to constantly recharge after only commuting 2 miles a day. *update* it appears I'm 212lbs with a backpack, so this contributed to the battery drain. The reason I bought it was because it is really light-26lbs, compared to others on the market, and the size when folding (commuting in public transit) makes it a dream. Overall, this is a great scooter, but my commute in NYC can be challenging. I caught a flat after only one month of use (NYC) but will be swapping it out for solid tires, initially giving new life to the scooter. Customer service was surprisingly great. I was contacted via email by an agent called "WEI Z," who I thought was a scammer, but it turns out, he is an actual representative. He offered to send me a new scooter (to my surprise) and the item arrived within 2 days!! So I'm going to give it another whirl.

Versatile and Comfortable
This electric bike has truly made an impression on me with its remarkable versatility and comfort. The robust construction immediately stands out, assuring both quality and durability. What amazed me was how user-friendly the assembly process is, making it accessible even for beginners to electric bikes. it took me less than 10 mins to install. Its design, complete with an LED display, adds to its functionality, particularly for night rides and monitor battery capacity. The bike’s performance in terms of speed and efficiency is exceptional. It boasts smooth adjustment to various terrains and rider preferences. During my tests, it comfortably achieved speeds up to 15 miles per hour, making it an excellent choice for commuting or recreational use. The battery life supports journeys up to 19 miles on a single charge. This, combined with its portable charging system, makes it incredibly convenient for daily use. The bike’s suspension system is another highlight, providing a smooth ride even on rougher paths. My gf likes it’s pink color and lightweight so much. However, the bike’s lack of drive mode is a point to consider. Adding multiple drive mode and longer battery life could be a beneficial improvement. In summary, this electric bike stands out as a stellar option in the market. It’s well-suited for those seeking a reliable and comfortable electric bike for daily commutes or fun explorations.

Good scooter for
Bought this scooter for my wife, who can go for some groceries nearby without driving a car. This scooter feels sturdy and well-constructed, with high-quality materials that reassure me of its durability. It is very easy to set it up. I assembled everything in 5 minutes without even reading the manual. Both my wife and I have not ridden the scooter before, but we get this on running pretty fast. It offers a smooth ride for middle and high speed, even on slightly rough surfaces. The brakes are effective, providing a sense of safety during rides. The acceleration is responsive. But sometimes I feel it is too responsive that I feel a little scared for moving so fast. So the only concern is that this one could not cruise in a slow mode, only middle speed or high speed. If you would like to go slower, you have to go with pulse-like acceleration to keep it balanced and moving forward. But generally, it runs pretty well for a commuting task. The scooter is a little heavy when I fold it and move it to the trunk of my car, but it is less weight than a regular bike for sure. I have not tested the battery life in the long term since I only take a few short rides, only used 1/4 of the total battery. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and recommended it to my friends.
