It is made in China. I absolutely love this and the eggs peel much easier than boiling plus it is so much easier.

Are any of the parts "non stick"? i have parrots in the house and heating a non stick surface will kill them dead, so this is extremely important!

There is nothing "no-stick". The removable tray is plastic. The heating surface is silver metal. The lid is plastic. I guess your parrots are safe.

Would you have to fo fewer eggs if jumbo?

I place jumbo eggs big side down and can get 6 in and close the top. Not all jumbo eggs are created equal, though. Good luck
