I’m in love with this brush! I have the Denman 81M and was looking for something larger and with less sharp nylon quills. The large Shash is it! It’s much better in my opinion, super lightweight, and beautiful to look at. I have long, fine/medium abundant hair and this brushes through and detangles nicely, gives tons of shine and adds volume. The larger size is perfect, and the nylon feels smooth and amazing on the scalp. I have much less fallout, and my ends stay smooth and shiny. It does an excellent job at keeping your hair clean, so you’ll need to clean the bristles often to remove the build up, especially if you use hair products. I remove any hairs after every use, run a brush cleaning brush through it every couple days, then give it a careful wash(bristles only with mild shampoo, air dry bristles down) about every week. It performs best (for me) when kept clean to get the full benefits of the boar bristles. I’m sad when it’s washing day and can’t use it until it’s dry(usually by the next day.) It seems well made, and am hoping it will last a long time. Considering purchasing a back up because I like it so much and use it every day!

This hairbrush is a game changer. My hair has become more manageable and tangles less frequently. I have hair that reaches the small of my back which fine and straight which had become damaged from color. This helps distribute oils better than anything I have tried before. It is easy to remove hair from the brush itself, than most other standard brushes. My hair looks better (much healthier and shiny as well as better volume) and just feels amazing. I will never go back to non-boar bristle brushes. I have recommended this to many folks and they all now swear by it as well. HIGHLY recommend.

wow wow wow. i did not know a brush could feel so good and make such a positive difference with my hair. the brush is well made, feels quality in a simple but very smart and effective way. the scale is seriously invigorated in the best way while using this brush. it feels SO GOOD to use. however the best part is how it makes my hair look and feel. I have very fine fair and with other brushes my hair is frizzy, dry, easily tangled, and not kept looking at all. I have struggled for years trying different brushes, hair oils, serums, the list goes on. Little did i know that this brush would solve so many of my ugly hair issues without any lotions, potions, or heating elements. The boar bristles truly and gently bring your natural oils from your scalp down into your hair strands. It helped my hair be completely tangle free for long periods of time (like i sleep and go to work and forget to brush my hair because it already feels brushed and is not tangly at all), my hair is shiny and not frizzy from my natural oils being pulled down, so therefore it is not greasy (which usually happens from using products), my hair looks so much better in everyway, feels so much better in everyway, and is manageable... and i dont need to use any heat at all. Just air dry and brush. This brush is worth the price 100%. The only thing i wish is that they made the brush in different colors and with design and patterns so they were colorful and had a bit more personality, but then again, maybe they are really going for a serious look and cant hate on that. i love this brush and will never ever buy a different brush!

So I, like most people reading this review, ended up here because I would love a Mason Pearson, but I just can’t justify the price tag. This brush is a happy medium: better than most drugstore brushes in the same category, but the black nylon bristles fall out easily, especially when cleaning the brush. It really does a nice job of distributing scalp oil down the hair shaft, and it feels nice on my scalp (a prickly little massage, in the best way.) It also does a good job of removing dry shampoo and “dust” from my hair. The downside is that it needs to be cleaned, and even when I’m as gentle as possible I manage to dislodge a few bristles. It’s not a cheap price, but unlike the vast majority of dupes I’ve purchased, I don’t regret buying this brush. It’s like the Amazon lululemon leggings dupes: it’s not as good as the holy grail product, but for $80-$100 cheaper than the OG it’s pretty damn good

It’s just so good. Brushes through tangled wavy hair and did not pull at all so no more painful hair brushing for my little one.

I really liked this brush when I first got it! It had definitely made a change in my hair from what I was using. But then as time went on it collected a lot of fuzzies (I removed any hair after every brush), so I went to give it a deep clean. Water went up into the brush handle, sloshed around and since washing it the black bristles have started falling out. This is disappointing for the amount it cost. I should be able to care for the brush and clean it.

Absolutely beautiful high quality brush. I have very thick long red hair. It brushes through it with ease. The handle is easy to grip onto, as to not drop it. It brushes through my wet hair also without causing tangles. This brush will be around longer than me.

This is a beautifully crafted brush the combination of boar and nylon bristles allows the brush to grow through my thick hair easily while allowing the boar bristles to do their work. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it has made a noticeable different to my hair for the better. My hair is mostly grey, but this brush, in combination with a good quality shampoo and conditioner makes it look and feel like much younger, healthier hair. Considering how good this brush is, it's a very fair price.
