Amazing Headset??? I Think So!!!
For Starters...I LOVE this headset. Previously I used a Turtle Beach X11 that I bought new in 2010. It was a great headset for my Xbox360 and even though I had put it through its paces and some unneeded abuse, it served me well. I only replaced it because it had a very annoying humming sound all the time that developed in its later year or so. So I set off on my search for the optimal headset that didn't sacrifice comfort for functionality. I started with the Turtle Beach brand since I had enjoyed my last pair a lot. After sorting through the various price points and features I had found a couple that I had liked. Now just before I sold my Xbox I had purchased a pair of Turtle Beach X32 and was less than pleased. For a wireless headset, it ate batteries every time I blinked, and the headset itself squeezed my head to the point I would get headaches after 20-30 minutes of use. So as I found a couple of TB headsets I like the look and features of I set off to Google and YouTube for reviews. After watching several reviews and reading a lot of forums I began to see a common trend in these new TB headsets...they all squeezed your head. Having seen all that information I wrote off TB from my list of headsets and set off to find the next latest and greatest. This brings me to my next point, you know, the one you've been waiting to hear. I did a lot of Google searching over several days on comparable headsets to the TB headsets I had liked. I also, just for reference, search the best/top gaming headsets for PC to get a feel where each headset I could afford fell in the rankings. All these search lead to me Logitech. Now Logitech has been a main contender in the gaming market for a while and in general for longer than that, so I was not surprised to see a lot of god feedback coming from customers. I too was a Logitech user, a steering wheel that I absolutely love because of its craftsmanship and overall quality. So I began to narrow my field down to around $100 and see what I could get in the price range. I started comparing various Logitech headsets against each other and other brands. 9 out of 10 times, the Logitech headset came out on top. So Logitech it was...but which one, the g430, the g35, or the wireless g930? So I simply compared them against each other and almost every review I read had the g930 coming out on top unless wireless was not your style then the g35 was the victor. Being a fan of a non-cluttered desk and being very anal retentive about my cable management I dug into the reviews both text and YouTube, for the g930. Was the mic quality good? Did they feel comfortable on my head? How about the batteries, did they last? Everything I found was positive so I ordered them...then canceled my order, reviewed another few vids and reordered them...yes, I had second thoughts not 5 minutes after I ordered them the first time. Thanks to my Prime membership and a stroke of good luck, they arrived the next day, and I didn't pay for overnight shipping!!!! I'm impatient and love to test my new toys as soon as I get them, so I wasted no time setting them up for use. The packaging itself was great, they call it frustration free packaging. None of that heat pressed plastic garbage, cut a couple pieces of tape and slid everything right out. Plugged the sweet USB/charging hub into my computer and powered them on. The drivers self-installed and following the advise of several reviews, I downloaded the Gaming Software that allows you to make changes to the profiles. Now the sound test, I slapped on Spotify and cranked out the tunes. They sounded great! So onto a game to test the surround. So I wasn't very pleased with the surround, everyone talking sounded like they were talking into a tin can, and overall the sound quality wasn't that great, but flip it back to stereo and everything sounded amazing. So how long would this battery last? Well out of the box I got about 2 hours out of it before I had to charge them...but I was in the middle of a gaming session with my friends. No worries, the play and charge feature worked flawlessly. With the headset plugged in, it felt like a typical wired headset thanks to the angled charging cord that pushed the bulk of the cable out away from my head. In about 3 hours, while still using them heavily, I was fully charged and ready to ditch the cable. So how long did the battery last? Well, playing games, talking to my friends in a chat service and streaming music all at once, I got about 5-6 hours out of it. So it was a little short of the 10 hours Logitech claims but I also had a lot of sounds and there time frame even says "Up To 10 Hours" depending on what you're doing. So the mic? Well I asked my friends how I sounded and they said fine, so I recorded myself a little message and played it back, sounded just fine. One thing I loved about my TB headsets was the voice monitoring, which kept me from getting noiseless syndrome, when your yell into a mic because you can't hear how loud you are talking. So how would this work for the g930? Easy, remember the gaming software I mentioned earlier? You simply turn up the side tone volume on the sound menu to your desired level and you can hear yourself so you don't scream. Well If you made it this far you are obviously genuinely interested in my opinion on this headset so I suppose I will now spill the beans. I am in love with this headset. The fit, the form, the build quality, sound quality, overall use friendliness of them is great. Sure the software could use some tweaking but we're not hear to discuss software. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, if you are looking for a great wireless or even just a great headset around $100, then I would strongly recommend these. Plus with Logitech's 3 year limited warranty, you have 3 years for any defects to surface and they will fix them. I hope this review has helped you make a decision on your headset.

"Expensive Wireless Wired Headset from Logitech!!"
OK. This headset is literally the worst purchase I have made towards my computer since I bought it. I had researched headsets for a very long time when trying to find a new one to use. I previously had a wireless stereo headset designed for the PS3 that I bought somewhere about 3-4 years ago. Best headset I ever bought. They were tough, reliable, and had reasonably good sound quality (not as good as the G930s though). But this review is not about the headset I bought 4 years ago. The G930s looked promising and I have two friends that also own these headphones. The 7.1 surround sound looked very cool and considering all the other products that I have owned from Logitech (mainly mice and one keyboard) I was hopeful. Got the headphones and was incredibly excited to have some nice quality headphones only to realize I got cheaply made horse crap that lasted just under two months. Pros: .The headphones are incredibly comfortable, I could game for quite a few hours before finding myself having to take them off. .They block out sound very well .The NORMAL sound from them is pretty incredible, not the 7.1 feature. It'll be covered in the cons area. .Cool feature with the boom-mic where it auto-mutes when it is raised up. Cons: (HOLY HELL HERE WE GO) .The Logitech Gaming Software is an abysmal excuse for a "driver program". It is literally worthless, with the exception that you can only turn on 7.1 surround sound when the software is installed and running. Which is still pointless. I had some issues with my computer at one point during these 2 months where some memory got corrupted or something. I had to update a few drivers for my motherboard etc restart the computer a few times, when suddenly I realized that my headset was not working anymore. No sound at all. The mic was being picked up because my friends over skype could still hear me. So something weird was going on. I spent three days not being able to play with my friends because I was stuck with no sound trying to figure out what to do to fix the issue. I have no idea what messed the headset up but the only fix that I could find was to completely uninstall the Logitech Gaming Software. (which isn't a big deal considering the software is 100% worthless to begin with.) So basically the software that is supposed to make the headset work and have more functionality is what broke them for a couple of days. Good job Logitech. .For the first few weeks the headset was constantly cutting itself off, forums stated that it is because they might almost be dead etc. where the aforementioned gaming software told me they had 10 hours of life left. I felt reason to believe that the headset was not almost dead considering I had them charging most of the day while I was out working. One solution I found was to leave them plugged in charging while I used them, effectively making them what I will call them from now on, the "Expensive Wireless Wired Headset by Logitech". I finally found a permanent solution, go into the driver files and find the config for the G930s and change a setting called something like "battery_power_off_interval 900" and change it to "battery_power_off_interval 0". In all honesty the pure stupidity of this line of config even existing makes me feel like I have lost brain cells so I will not comment on it. Hopefully you the reader will understand why that is so stupid. .The 7.1 surround sound is a joke. I don't know all the gizmos and gadgets and tech behind how the surround sound is supposed to work. All I know is that it only sounds like you are in an empty wooden room with sounds echoing off the walls. This in my opinion is not "surround sound" but hell what do I know. If you want to experience the "7.1 Surround Sound" feature of this headset just buy like two or three speakers and an empty wooden room and play music/ sounds from them from your phone. BOOM $80 worth of 7.1 surround sound. .The mic boom broke near the end of the second month. From what? I don't know. It seems that a screw or something broke and it doesn't hold itself in the up position anymore, which is sad because that for me was one of the coolest features. I wasnt that distraught over it though I was planning on just seeing if I could fix it myself and tighten said loose screw. That is, until the mic stop working completely. About 2 days after the mic boom broke, the mic stopped working. So I'm guessing there was something more wrong than just a simple loosened screw. The only thing I can even conceive that might have broken it is occasionally when going to the bathroom I would lightly toss the headset with the mic boom in the up position onto my bed from less than 1 foot away. The max airtime they might have had would have been 0.5 seconds. If this light toss onto a pillow-top mattress broke the headset then they definitely were not built to be sold as an $80 headset. This sorry excuse for Chinese engineering leads me to believe that all of Logitech's microphones are made from delicate baby tears and toenails. Simply put without the sarcasm. If the headset broke from this light tossing they were built with absolutely awful quality materials. Summary: This headset is not worth $80, the "feature adding Logitech Gaming Software" is useless and a pile of garbage, the software was also programmed with the most ignorant config setting that I have ever heard of, the quality of the material it is built out of is trash, the auto-muting mic boom is really cool though. Basically do not buy these headphones unless they are lowered to a price more worthy of their build quality, something like $15 sounds fair. Sorry Logitech you dropped a ball bigger than the craps I get from my local Mexican restaurant. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Maybe Razer will have something worth the money.

Best of what's out there.
I work from home. I write for a living. I spend ALL day every day at the computer writing -- and my favorite way to relax at home is playing games. While I cringe to admit it, it's fair to say that I might spend more time with these headphones on my head on a given day than I spend with them off. If anybody has stress-tested these things...it's me. This is my second pair of G930s, and before I bought the G930s, I had the G35s, which are essentially just the wired version. They aren't without problems. My first pair went into the trash when the plastic fitting at the top of the ear cup on the left side -- into which the metal size adjustment rail is slotted -- simply broke. The plastic had gotten tired with time (and my taking the headphones on and off), and shattered in such a way that it would have been impossible to fix it without a lot of tape. Tape + proximity to my hair = no thanks. Aside from that structural failure, the headphones were fine; they still sounded great, and the mic worked perfectly. (Prior to buying logitech headphones, I had a pair of Razer headphones, and they also broke at the top of the ear cup, so I don't think that this is a problem exclusive to the G930s -- I think anything you take on and off of your head repeatedly, with swiveling plastic parts that can be torqued, is at some risk of breaking eventually.) This second pair of headphones has lost tension on the microphone arm -- whatever mechanism inside allowed it to have tension to raise and lower in different positions is no longer situated properly, so the mic sags. I've rigged it by tucking a bit of folded paper behind the 'elbow' of the mic where it joins the cup, but needless to say, it isn't ideal. Aside from that, the headphones work properly. Both headphones have had some weird issues with turning on and off when plugged in. This is an issue mainly when used with windows, as the headphones will automatically turn off after a certain length of time if they receive no incoming sounds (or possibly any input on the mic). When that happens, I find it easiest to unplug the headset, turn it back on, and then plug it back in. Obviously, I liked these enough to buy a second pair despite the price tag and minor issues. For my purposes, they're a great fit: they're comfortable to wear for long periods of time; they sit comfortably around my ears rather than pressing on them. They're a little bit heavy, but most headphones of this size will have some weight -- and whatever battery these have in them usually gives me eight or more continuous hours of use before I have to plug them in (which isn't a huge inconvenience, because the charging station and cord are fairly lengthy). The 7.1 is really well done, with a what feels to me like an expansive soundstage that's *great* for gaming -- I never have trouble pinpointing where in the 3D space a certain sound is coming from. The mic is good...almost too sensitive, as sometimes the people I'm in vent with will tell me that the sound of my sink running sounds like a garbage disposal! Generally, though, they say the quality of output is clear and solid. The programmable keys on the side are pretty useful, though I wouldn't mind if the driver software were updated to include other programs like Skype or Mumble. A few last points: sometimes, USB headphones, particularly surround sound USB headphones, do not get along with certain game titles. There can be weird static, dropped sounds, or other shenanigans, and though this is really rare, it's pretty frustrating if, like me, you rely on the headphones entirely for sound (living as I do in an apartment with neighbors who probably wouldn't appreciate listening to virtual gunfire late in the evening). Occasionally, the driver software will decrease the mic volume on its own, or scroll the headset volume downward, without being told to. Little problems like this are usually easily fixed by unplugging the USB receiver and plugging it back in to refresh the device (and then turning the headset on fresh afterward). None of these are dealbreakers. I'll admit I've done a little bit of research on other wireless gaming headsets in light of these little nagging issues, but I have yet to find one that offered me the same utility and sound quality as this pair of headphones does. If you're willing to deal with a wired connection, I think there are probably better deals out there...but if you're looking for a set of excellent wireless headphones, I think as of the writing of this review, you can't really do any better than the G930s.

Felt the need to shed a little light on a few things.
***UPDATE 5/3/2013*** Okay, so I've had this set for almost 3 years now. About a month ago I did have to replace the charger (my own fault, cord got damaged) and while I was doing so I replaced the battery for the first time as, with all rechargeables, it had degraded a bit. Going through logitech's website I was able to get the battery kit for 5 and the charger for 10. I'm hoping to get another 3 years out of this set. Some updated impressions: After 3 years the faux leather covering over the ear pads has worn off a bit. I wear glasses and I've noticed that most of the wear is where my glasses rub them. I can't fault logitech for this really, and I don't notice it when I wear them. My signal range seems to have degraded just a little, and I'm considering replacing the wireless dongle as well (which can be done directly through logitech for 10 bucks). I won't deny the photo evidence regarding the plastic ear cup joints that people have posted in the comments on this review, but I will say that I've had this headset for almost 3 years, I'm a bit of a clumsy drunk at times (especially when gaming), and while I definitely haven't abused the headset it has been dropped from time to time. Other than the ear pad coverings and a few scuffs, you'd never know it wasn't brand new. Maybe I'm just lucky, I don't know, but the three headsets I bought before this one (all in the 50-100 dollar range) each lasted less than a year. Under the same treatment, this headset has outlasted all 3 of them. Honestly, if they broke right now I would probably buy the same set again. I haven't found much else that provides the same functionality in the same price range. My long term impression of sound quality--audiophiles prolly wouldn't be satisfied, you can't crank them obscenely loud with strong bass without hearing some distortion. However, they definitely more hold their own in terms of gaming oriented headsets. At reasonable volume levels they're crisp and clear with good bass. I have grown addicted to the 7.1. I often tell people in first person shooters that 70% of my aiming is through sound at this point. It's hard to play without it. My only real complaint is that the software is a bit buggy. Sometimes you have to relaunch it for the headset to be recognized properly and to get proper 7.1 playback. It's not much of a problem...but it can be annoying. _______________ First, off, I've only had this headset for a day. I can't really go into detail about sound quality, how good the surround sound is, etc. However, I feel like I need to clarify a couple of things. There are two major issues that people have been complaining about with this headset: the "flimsy plastic" joints holding the ear cups on, and the lack of a graphic equalizer. Please disregard anyone who mentions either of these two "problems," because it is completely false. If you look closely at the ear cup joints, yes, there is plastic there. However, if you pay attention, the plastic isn't actually the part that's moving. It's merely a covering for the actual joint. On the back of the box, under "Durability," it clearly states that the joints are made from an aircraft grade aluminum alloy. This is a very well made product guys, I get no sense that, if treated properly (take your game rage out on something that costs a bit less, children) it will ever break on me. Now, I'm not quite sure why people are saying there's no graphic equalizer, and that they are limited to bass and treble adjustments. Directly below the bass/treble bars, there's a big button that looks like a graphic equalizer. If you click it, guess what happens. Yep, a 10 band EQ pops right up, complete with preamp volume adjustment. If you have this turned on, it grays out and overrides the bass/treble adjustments. Now that I've cleared that up, I'll give my one day impressions on the product. Super comfortable. I have a fairly large head, and yes, the headset does squeeze a little tighter than what you might be used to, but that's because the headband is made of metal and not cheap plastic. It's the squeeze of quality, learn to love it. It's not a bad thing at all, you just might not be used to it. After a few days of breaking it in, I doubt I'll even notice. The sound quality seems fantastic so far. I'm still working on getting it to sound just right with my game of choice, TF2. With movies, music, tv shows, etc, it's just amazing. Crystal clear, rich, amazing sound. I initially had problems with the mic, people in Team Fortress 2 were telling me that it was cutting out, and screwing up sound for everyone (if you've ever played the game, you know what I'm talking about). This was fixed by turning the mic gain way way down. I've been so used to mics that are super quiet, so I had windows set to max out and boost mic input, and maxed out mic input through the game as well. Turned the levels down quite a bit and presto, clear as a bell. One thing I don't like, the mic level resets itself every time I unplug the headset (rather, the usb dongle) then plug it back up. It remembers every other setting, just not mic gain. I've solved this by setting one of the G keys to reduce mic gain, so if I ever launch a game and accidentally leave it set too high, I can easily fix it on the fly. Speaking of the G keys, I was kind of disappointed that they work with ventrilo, but not teamspeak. No big deal though. Still, I was hoping to be able to sit on my porch and chill in our TS channel and be able to chat with people. (I have to go outside to smoke here...ahem >.>...you know what I mean.) The wireless range and battery life really seem to be just as good as advertised, which was a very nice surprise. I can go anywhere in my house and still have completely clear audio. The majority of my front porch gets signal as well, and that's going between three walls. Last night I went in game with only a partial charge, the software said 7 hours of battery life left. I played a little over two hours, left game, and it said I still had five hours left. Good stuff. I love this headset. Completely. After years of frustration over broken wires ruining headsets, I could not be happier with this product. If you've got a nice, functioning headset already, like a g35 or whatever, I couldn't justify telling you to purchase this. However, if you've got a cheap POS, or if you're in the market to buy a new headset because you rolled over your current pair's wires one too many times with your chair, I couldn't recommend this enough. I've never spent this much money on one before, I've always been in the 50-70 dollar range. Dropping 160 wasn't easy for me to do, money is tight these days. I don't regret the purchase at all.

good product.. but quite a few flaws
so i've had 3 of these since i first purchased the first one 2 years ago... i don't know where to start.. but here we go: pros: 1. convenience, obviously. the fact that i'm not restricted to my pc is amazing. the battery life is pretty good i can go about 8 hours before needing to recharge. 2. the sound quality is really good! definitely better than my siberia v2 that i had before this.. and that i still use once in a while for other reasons (see cons.) the audio is clear and everyone i talk to thinks the mic sounds really clear, as well. 3. the ear muffs fit my ears perfectly with just enough wiggle room that i don't feel like i'm sweating profusely like with other leathery-type muffs. the buttons on the headset are amazing. 4. the buttons on the headset! i love the volume control. i love being able to mute by a quick button press or just lifting my headset's mic up. i love that i can control things like for instance, spotify. i can easily go back, go to the next song, or pause/play whenever (and this is straight out of the box, no programming) i can also pause/play movies on my VLC player. 5. i love that the program tells me if i'm fully charged yet or still need charging. now for the cons (i wish there weren't so many) 1. not THAT convenient. if i go downstairs, i'm okay.. certain parts like the kitchen, it will cut off.. no big deal. but some days are better than others (i'm not sure why) sometimes i can go downstairs just fine, other times it keeps cutting off just from walking outside my room. and MICROWAVES, oh god. I guess mine is old and leaking because anytime someone turns on the microwave, it just cuts out completely until the microwave shuts off. 2. DO NOT trust the charger. just don't. i've learned the hard way that using the charger it comes with loosens and eventually breaks your headset from being able to charge at all. i didn't know that til after it broke, had to contact logitech for a replacement and then researched online that it's a common thing. it uses a mini-usb to charge so i just ended up just using my android charger (and eventually just purchased a separate mini-usb cable and outlet) and leaving the charger/transmitter sitting there on top of my desk connected to the pc. been doing it for 6 months now and it works great, no problems with that situation so far. 3. the comfort level could be a lot better. i often find myself switching back to my old headset because wearing these for a long time will give me really bad migraines. i've also made the mistake of falling asleep with these on one night, i ended up having to get a prescription for muscle relaxers and ibprofens to help with the neck pain. of course this could just be my own issue but i figured i'd mention it. 4. the buttons on the headset. sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. when they don't work, i have to disconnect/reconnect the transmitter.. sometimes i have to restart the logitech software.. sometimes i have to keep trying to hold the on/off button down until i'm able to restart the headset.. sometimes i have to just wait for the headset's charge to die out so that the buttons can work again on the next charge. a bit of a hassle. 5. the program isn't always accurate. sometimes it'll say it needs 3 hours to charge.. and then after 30 minutes it'll say fully charged, so i'll stop charging it and it'll only be at half bars. sometimes it'll say i have 2 more hours before it dies, and then it dies 10 minutes later... ??? 6. this is the MOST FRAGILE piece of equipment i've ever owned. the first time i returned it for a replacement to logitech was because the piece above the earmuff on one of the sides was cracked and eventually the headset broke apart from it (a known issue that happens for whatever reason, there's lots of posts online about it and even reviews here about it) - the replacement was the one that stopped charging (due to the mini-usb it came with that caused it to loosen, as previously mentioned) which i then had to RMA again to logitech. and now this 3rd one i'm wearing has tape around the top of the left earmuff because one night the plastic just randomly snapped in half without warning and there happens to be wire inside that plastic so i have to tape it to hold it together (and now i'm already past the warranty timeframe so my only choice is to purchase a new one, sigh) the picture attached to this review is what happened to my current headset.

Disappointing mess of a product, terrible support
I've never been this disappointed with a Logitech product before. First the good points. The sound quality is excellent, no one has ever had a problem hearing me. I never got a 10 hour charge out of the batteries as advertised, but got 5 or 6 at first. They are comfortable, they don't weight too much, they wrap securely around my head without being too tight and do a good job blocking out outside sound. They give you a really long USB cable with a base you can wrap it around to shorten to whatever you desire. At first it really appeared to be a fantastic product. Then came the problems. Right off the bat I noticed it had problems staying connected. Probably 5-6 times per day, it will give out a short beep and lose the connection for about 5-10 seconds, and give me a double beep and reconnect. Since it always reconnects on its own It isn't terrible enough for me to have returned the product, but over the 7 months or so that I've owned it, it started to make me hate the thing. It was frequent enough that it would often make me have to rewind in a movie or show I was watching, or I'd miss an important moment in a video game, or I'd have to ask someone to repeat themselves when I was on a work call. It wouldn't be so bad if it only happened when using the headset wirelessly, but it has this problem even if you have the USB cable plugged in, as it only seems to use that cable for charging and not to send data over USB like their wireless mouses. Even worse, about once or twice a week it will start making a low humming sound that gradually builds into deafening buzzing. It sounds a lot like feedback but it happens even if the mic is muted so I have no idea what the issue is. Turning the headset off and then back on a few minutes later fixes it, but if you turn it off and back on quickly it's still there, you really do have to wait a few minutes which is absolutely unacceptable if you're using this thing for a work call. Battery life has gotten bad quickly. I know rechargeable batteries have a limited life-cycle but I expected it to at least be decent until I was past the warranty period, but I've only had it for 7 months. I feel like it only gets about 2.5-3 hours after charging all night now. I'll have to do a test and come back and edit this with specific results. The last straw was the mechanism that keeps the right headphone tight and in place broke. Since they wrap fairly securely around my head and ears, I typically remove the headphones by grabbing the right side and pulling it off my right ear then sliding the headphones off my head. Apparently this was too much strain on the piece of plastic used there, because it just snapped off and flew across the room one day, leaving the right headphone loose and making the product no longer comfortable or secure around my head. (Picture of the broken product attached to this review) I'm still well within the warranty period so I decide to RMA these things and hope for better results with the replacement. Logitech support, which used to be incredible, has taken a real dive apparently. Here is my support horror story: I opened my first support ticket 10 days ago, no response. I did a live chat a couple days later, the agent told me he was going to get me an RMA and to hold on, then I got kicked out of the live chat for taking too long to respond to the agent even though he told me to "hold on" while he processed my RMA. There was no way for me to get back into the live chat or even start a new live chat under the same support ticket, so I had to open a new ticket and start a new live chat with a different person, explained the situation to her, she said she talked to the other agent and he was going to process my RMA request and that I'd get an email within an hour. I waited 2 days and never got the email (checked spam, etc.), so I called their support phone number. Unfortunately during that call the headphones started doing that loud buzzing/feedback thing and I had to turn them off, and I guess while I was unresponsive the agent hung up on me. So another 2 days later I tried a live chat again and got that first agent, and I referred him back to the prior ticket and chat and he said he didn't know why the RMA didn't go through before but their new system has some bugs that haven't been worked out. He started the process over again but this time we had to make sure to keep talking while he processed the RMA. He would type something like "I'm typing this so the chat doesn't kick us out" and I'd respond with "I'm responding for the same reason". This exchange went on for 36 minutes (I have the chat logs), which was going to make me late for an appointment, so I had to get in my car, remote into my computer through my phone, and every few minutes type something into the live chat so I didn't get kicked out and have to start all over again, while driving. Finally he told me my RMA was processed and I'd get an email within an hour. I never got that email either. I wait two more days and try another live chat. I explain to the new agent, give her all my pending support tickets for reference, she apologizes, says she will escalate this to the senior level, and says someone should contact me within 48 hours. I tell her "okay, what do I do if no one contacts me? Because this keeps happening." She responds, and this is a direct quote, by saying "I will make sure, you will receive a response on this matter." 48 hours later, no one has contacted me. I try phone support again (I use my cell phone this time since I can't trust this headset), and I tell the agent all of the above and give him all my various pending support tickets ( I now have 7 pending support tickets for this one issue, because there is no way to open a live chat under an existing ticket and starting a new live chat creates a new ticket ). The agent on the phone says "wow this is a real mess" and I agree. He promises to send me an email and stays on the phone with me, I get it instantly, proving I'm capable of receiving emails from Logitech support. The email requested a bunch of information that they already have because I registered my product to my logitech account and provided the proof of purchase and a picture of the problem and everything in my first support ticket, but I filled it out again and responded. That was yesterday. As of today, one of my 7 support tickets says "RMA pending". I'm still waiting on the actual RMA, at which point I will have to ship my product to them and wait until they ship a new / refurbished product back to me. Hopefully. This is the kind of support experience I expect from Comcast, not Logitech.

The Best Headset I've Ever Had
I have a friend who has used this headset for about 3 years now I believe and so I was convinced to purchase one for myself when my old headset gave out. I've used it for over a week now and I really love this headset. A quick look at what I use it for; gaming (mmo's, various Steam games), listening to music, watching movies, chatting on Skype. Below is a little more information on my opinion of the G930. I'll outline a few pros and cons for those of you still on the fence: Pros: Comfort: Headset is light enough that once you wear it for a while you begin to forget it's there. Does not touch my ears except for the slightest feather touch on the very edges, just enough to realize you're wearing a headset until you're distracted by something. Good adjustment options to move and shape to fit your head. Noise cancelling is very good, all noises are well muffled by headset design and helps, especially in gaming, to achieve that immersion into the world you're playing in. Ease of use: Only took a minute of reading the quick start guide to understand the features and what the light indicators mean; the Logitech Gaming Software isn't too hefty a program and it's handy to use to tell you just how long your battery has and for programming your headset. Roll button for volume on the headset left side is genius, easy to to quickly change volume. Performance: Sound is fantastic, the surround sound demo on the Logitech Gaming Software scared the daylights out of me with its realistic sounds; this headset is only limited by the quality of the input it receives. The bass actually sounds like bass too, which is another plus. Mic sounds great, keystrokes are muffled but voice comes through crystal clear even without adding background noise cancellation. Cons: Auto-shutoff: This was going to be the thing that knocked a couple stars off my rating, but my friend gave me a tip about how to fix it and it's been a lifesaver. The problem is that the auto-shutoff only allows the headset to stay on for maybe 15 to 20 minutes at a time. It seems to be quite determined to shut itself off whether you like it or not, no matter what you're doing. This was very annoying straight off, as I would have to scramble to find the small button to press and hold slightly to turn the headset back on, and in the mean time I was missing something. The fix I spoke of requires a bit more than the average computer user will do in their normal interaction with a computer, but it was simple enough and fixed the problem. Now, if the headset does decide to shut off, it comes right back on again; occasionally not even shutting off at all. Not enough to knock off a star since there is a fix, but certainly a frustrating con as a new owner. Battery Life: I wish this could be a pro, but it's a con because although the headset does run on battery for a good long while, I do find myself somewhat confused at the inconsistencies I've noticed. While the Logitech Gaming Software does give relatively accurate battery usage in real time, right now, as I write this, my has gone from 10 hours remaining, to 8 hours remaining, and it has only been 15 minutes. Now, this could be due to the fact that it was not fully charged to begin with, however, I do find that a bit odd. I have, however, used it for quite a few hours before it alerted me it needed to be charged, so all in all I really can't complain too much. Charging: This is more of a pet peeve, but for some reason I have a real whale of a time getting the charger cord plugged into the headset to charge it. I fumble and fuss, usually taking the headset off my head and glaring at the cord trying to figure out which way it goes in, since it only plugs in one way. Occasionally the planets align perfectly at just the right moment and I pop the cord in without batting an eye (or taking off the headset), thankfully it's become slightly easier now that I'm getting the hang of it. Honestly I can't think of anything else that I would consider a con. I really love this headset and I hope to have it for years to come, just like my friend has. If you're still not sure, it's not terribly expensive, and I promise if you're using a wired headset that you're going to love going wireless, and the sound is fantastic!

Wonderful Gaming Headset
If you play online games at all just dollar up and buy this headset. It is what you are looking for. I researched several models for a week or so and came across this model on sale on Amazon. After about 4 months of use I decided to write a review on it. Now that I have some usage data. If you don't want details skip down to the Wrap-Up. Pros Great sound quality- The surround sound 7.1 is spot on, I have never had the capability of 7.1 in my headset before now and this feature blew me away. Comfort- The ear-cups are extremely comfortable and if you get the entire unit correctly it is snug and you can forget you are wearing them at times. The ear-cups are also very large so I can't imagine a set of ears that they would not fit around. I'm 6'8" and they fit perfect around my giant ears. Great battery Life- Lasts around 10 hours +- about 30 mins of constant use between playing games and chatting in your favorite chat program like Mumble or TeamSpeak. How hard you use it doesnโt seem to effect the battery life at all. So bottom line you have 10 hours of wireless life no matter how hard you use it. Wired Headest- The time may come when you need to use it wired headset because you forget to charge it and the headset beeps and tells you it is at 20% life. No fear the charging cable they give you is very long. And honestly you wonโt really notice it, also it will charge in a matter of 2 hours or so WHILE you are using it. But honestly it is much easier just to leave it charging after each use. Ergonomics- On a headset things are sometimes placed without any thought, not so with this headset. The ability to turn the volume on the side up or down is useful along with the ability to mute the microphone by rotating it up or with the press of a button. Range- Headset has great wireless range, some people complain about this but honestly you shouldnโt be more than 10 feet away from the wireless receiver anyway. That said Iโve had no problem with it at distances of 25 to 30 feet just as a test. Durability- I canโt speak myself to the issue some have been having with the plastic cracking at the earmuff adjustment area. I havenโt had that issue nor have I had any durability issues with the headset yet. Cons Mumble Compatibility- This is the only issue I have had with this headset. Sometimes in Mumble at will it will put all the voices only in the right earmuff. With some research I found that this has to do with some interaction between Mumble and the Headset itself. The fix was simple and involved me running Mumble in compatibility with XP and the issue has not come back up again. TeamSpeak Issues- Sometimes with TeamSpeak if I open the program before synching my headset to the computer the sounds and mic will not work properly. Exiting TeamSpeak and then opening it back up after the headset connects always fixes this issue. This is more of a user error and impatience than it is a design flaw. Wrap-Up In all well worth the money spent in my books. Iโve been more than happy with its performance and any minor flaws with it have turned out to be either user error or easily able to be fixed. Yes the headset is pricy. But as is always true with life you get what you pay for. These are worth saving up for and trust me you will not miss the money especially if you do any online gaming where you need to be chatting constantly with other people. I could see this headset being great for WoW, PS2, or any other massive multiplayer game. Its also handy for things like TeamSpeak and Mumble.

Sehr gutes wireless Headset fรผr wenig Geld
"Muss man Sourround hรถren?" Bewertung: + sehr guter Klang + keine Ohrenschmerzen + gut abgeschirmt + Surround Sound funktioniert einwandfrei + Umstellbar auf Stereo + einfaches Aufklappen fรผr die Mute-Funktion + 3 Multifunktionstasten (z.B.

Excellent Product for the Price !
The Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 is a very nice headset with no wires that suffers from no noticeable lag and works for everything from gaming to watching movies. The G930 isn't cheap, but the good stuff rarely is.

A magic carpet ride with excellent sound.
So I've been looking for a replacement headset for some time, I love the G930s as they're comfortable, reliable, have fantastic surround sound and most importantly, are wireless. I ordered these on 16th of August, at half the price of other refurb units, the only downside was the expected delivery date was 16th September, a very long wait, but I'd put up with my spare headset for a few weeks already, what was a few more. On 19th August I had a knock on my door, thinking it was my house mate having locked himself out again, I trundled downstairs in my dressing gown to look bleary-eyed at a postman. "Package for Tom . . ." clearly he was as shocked by my hairy, pale ankles as I was by his presence. He handed over a large brown paper package with my name on the front of it. Given I'd ordered some spare ear pads (as I spend a lot of time wearing my headsets), I expected to open the package and find them. Cue my giddy surprise. A gleaming, black pair of G930s restored to nigh on immaculate condition. Almost unable to contain my surprise, I swiftly plugged them in back at my PC and was transported into long lost territory with glorious surround sound, a built-in micro phone and most importantly (given my house mate) a high degree of noise cancellation.

Great Headset
I really love my G930. The other reviews are accurate. My experience with the range is about 30-50 feet before it starts cutting out. Batterly life is about 8 hours fully charged, and it takes about 3 hours to charge. YOU DONT NEED THE SOFTWARE. I actually used my first pair of these for almost 2 years without installing the software that came with. I now have 2 of these headsets and i swap them out when the battery runs down. Yes, I will use them for 8+ hours straight, almost every day. You can literally go to the bathroom while being on skype/gaming. If you're playing league of legends and you're in champion select, you can go to the bathroom and hear when the game is starting so you don't miss anything. The mic boom auto-mutes the mic when you flip it up. So if your girlfriend comes over and wants to talk, just flip up the boom so your friends don't hear you. This is an amazingly underrated feature. Sound quality is as good as anything else on the market, mic is great. OK so the only fault i would say is durability of construction. It's made of plastic so if you drop it a bunch on hardwood floor, it will eventually break -- especially the mic boom. So basically, don't drop them too much. Also the sound effects are gimmicky and you'll get tired of them after about 10 mins (except the darth vader one). But you seriously aren't buying them for the sound effects.
