How exactly does it "self-clean"? After you run the mode, do you have to dump it out?

I use 50/50 white vinegar and water in clean mode. When finished I pour it out and rinse with just water. When I start it back I throw out the first two sets of cubes to eliminate any possible vinegar taste.

Is it air cooled or water cooled

Mine was defective upon arrival and did not work, but it is air cooled by means of an internal fan.

Why will it make 1 batch of ice and then shut off?

With mine, just fill the water tank, turn it on, makes ice, shuts off. Repeat if you need more.

Corded use electricity

Yes it has a cord for electric. You should be near a water source, as it needs to be filled by hand. Works well though!
