LOVE this lamp. The quality is there and the colors are beautiful. We even love the night light in the base of the lamp.

We love our new lamp. We placed it on our narrow sofa table. Because the lampshade is not round, it fits nicely on the table without sticking out. It is very pretty!

I bought the “resale” to save a few dollars and check the quality. I’m very happy. There were a couple of tiny dings to the shade that I didn’t notice until someone else did. She also guessed I paid twice as much. The lamp is in excellent shape, works well, and came with a bulb. I’m going to buy another to have a pair. The night light feature in the base is great. It’s so pretty that I want to leave the whole thing on all the time. PS A good weight, as you’d expect with stone.

I have some experience with selling lamps so know what to look for and this is a nice, high quality, beautiful lamp. I was looking for a round one but didn't see they made one til a day after I purchased this rectangle one, which is just as beautiful. So, I ended up buying both. The only area for improvements are (are you listening Jonathan Y?) The shades on the round and rectangle lamps are a different color, the rectangle being white, the round being ivory. I'm ok with either color but now I have two lamps with different colored shades. As other reviewers noted, manufacturing could do a better job making sure the prettiest side of the lamp, the side with the most character, was in the front, not the back or sides. My only real complaint is why on earth would you put a silver cord on a gold lamp? It's a nice cord, don't get me wrong, but I'm wondering who thought that was a wise decorator choice to use a silver cord. Overall, I love both of my lamps. They really change the ambiance of my room. Thanks for making a quality product, packaging it well, including easy instructions, all at a great price.

This lamp is substantial. Base alabaster is hefty, well-made and attractive as is the shade. The harp, however, is a bit flimsy and doesn't match the substantial quality of the other elements of this lamp. It comes packed in styrofoam which is messy in unpacking and results in a blizzard of tiny styrofoam pebbles, so have a vacuum handy when finished unpacking and assembled.

I was not happy at all with this lamp. The base was on off centered and the light at the bottom wasn’t level so the lamp didn’t set evenly and would scratch the dresser. I was very disappointed so I returned it obviously. Also, the base of the lamp was all scratched when I opened it up.

Wow. This lamp really knows how to dress up a room! Very pleased with the quality and illumination it provides.

PROS: Marble column is pretty and well cut, no chips or gouges, color and size as pictured. Shade well-sized for base. Packing is excellent. CONS: The painted-on gold finish on base, stem and finial is cheap looking. Overall for the price, not bad.
