Is this made in the USA?

The box says made in China. That being said...I highly recommend this item. I'd prefer made in America ..but I'd say this is one of the BEST things I bought my boys. So many learning options plus if your kid likes watching utube videos of other kids opening surprise eggs.. they will LOVE opening these..without even realizing they're learning.

What does this toy do?

Each acorn has a little toy shape inside that begins with the letter printed on the acorn. The acorn tops and bottoms have matching upper and lower case letters. This set is excellent for learning letter recognition, matching colors, and teaching beginning sounds. The acorns can also be stacked to teach basic spelling and reading.
