Really fun for adult children!
I'm 47 and I've wanted a scooter since my kids got theirs back in the early 2000s. I bought this as a gift for someone else, but even though it was listed as prime, it took over a week to come, so i had to go out and buy a different scooter for her. Since I also just celebrated a birthday, I kept this for myself when it finally arrived. I'm glad I did because my stunted childhood dreams came true! It's been cold and rainy here but I've been riding this baby around my house and it's every bit as fun as I hoped it would be. I cannot wait to get outside with it! It's very sturdy and the second height level is perfect for my 5'3 frame. Folding it seems tricky at first, but I found a great YouTube video titled Lascoota Teen Scooter that shows how to pull up while pushing up on the red folding button. Now it's super easy to fold and unfold. Some weird black plastic piece fell out from where it folds and I've emailed the company about it, but so far it doesn't seem to affect the scooter usage. Replacement parts are readily available, and look pretty inexpensive, from the Lascoota website. Testing the brake inside at low speed, it seems really responsive. The little kickstand is awesome because at my age I'm just so above dumping my $70 scooter on its side in the grass. I'm not planning on doing any rad tricks, and I'm not into getting tiny wheels stuck in cracks, so the larger wheels on this are fabulous because they give such a smooth ride. I'm mostly looking forward to embarrassing my youngest son as I ride around the neighborhood on my super cool pink scooter. I ordered a white helmet to go with this and I'm totally gonna sticker the heck out of it to complete the bad mom effect.

Sturdy and Fun - Great Scooter for All Ages!
As a parent, I'm always on the lookout for quality, durable toys and sports equipment for my kids, and the LaScoota Kick Scooter definitely fits the bill. After several weeks of use, I'm impressed enough to leave this review - something I don't do often! Pros: Versatile for Various Ages: The scooter is marketed for kids aged 6+, but even teens and adults can enjoy it. This versatility makes it a great buy for families. My 9-year-old and 10-year-old both ride it comfortably. I have even used it several times. Sturdy Build: The construction is solid. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap, which is a relief considering how rough kids can be. The frame is robust and has endured quite a few bumps and drops already. Smooth Ride: The 8" urethane wheels make a noticeable difference. They glide smoothly on different terrains – from pavements to slightly rougher park paths. My kids have remarked on how "smooth and fast" it feels. Safety First: The braking system is reliable and easy to use, which is a huge plus in my book. I appreciate that my kids can slow down safely, especially when they're getting a bit too adventurous. Easy to Handle: Despite its sturdiness, the scooter is not overly heavy. My younger child can handle it without much struggle, and it's easy to carry when needed. Cons: Price Point: It is a bit on the expensive side, but I believe the quality justifies the cost. It's an investment in a scooter that won't need replacing any time soon. Storage Size: It's a bit larger than some other scooters, so storing it takes a bit more space. Not a major issue, but something to consider if you're tight on space. In conclusion, the LaScoota Kick Scooter is a fantastic choice for families looking for a reliable, fun, and safe scooter. It's well-built, easy to ride, and should last for years to come. Highly recommended!

Great Scooter, Great Price
I got the yellow Teen sized scooter. The yellow is a nice almost safety yellow color, though not quite as bright. The visibility is great! The size is perfect for me at 5'4 120 pounds and a size 7 womens' shoe. If your feet are larger or you are over 150 pounds, I'd suggest sizing up to the adult size. It rides nice. Easy to handle and can pick up some decent speed. It is very lightweight (less than 10 pounds) so I was worried it would feel chinzy, but it's pretty solid. Not like a heavy electric scooter, but great for the weight. It's so easy to fold up and take with you! I use it for quick trips to the store and sometimes, instead of locking it up outside, I just carry it in with me. It's also great for the gym. It's absolutely perfect for public transportation. I live just far enough from a SunRail station that walking takes too long, but driving and parking is a pain. Not only does this make getting there quicker, but (unlike a bike) i can fold it up and sit anywhere. Whith a bike I have to stay on the bottom of the train. This was a really great buy!

It's pretty great!
Here are my semi-coerced (but honest) thoughts: 1) It's big and somewhat heavy. This isn't really a downside, per se, but my young one truly does have trouble carrying it (even with the very welcome shoulder strap). 2) Big + Hefty = Sturdy Listen, as the above complaint is true, the byproduct is that the thing feels like a tank. I'm much, much larger than the young one, and I can comfortably rip around on this thing and very much not feel like I'm zooming around on a toy -- it's a sturdy scooter. I've had other adults zip around, jump off curbs, etc. too, and it's *completely* fine. As in, no worries at all ― not even the hint of a worry. When the kids got penny boards for skating, I was certain I would break it by looking at it ― not so with this hefty thing. 3) It's hard/tricky to fold. This is a negative to be sure (my young ones can't fold it), but I also don't want it to fold when 6'+ adults are jumping off curbs either, okay? So maybe it's a draw? They key to folding it up is to lift the hefty thing up by the handlebars and then pull up the tab to release and hold it while you fold it. You can do it! Go for it. (And remember, feel free to really pull it hard ― you can't break it as far as I can tell). 4) I don't own other scooters. I'm comparing this to nothing. I guess I'm comparing it to kids bikes and penny boards and my expectations... but "It's pretty great" really does sum it up for me. Maybe there's something better out there, normally is, but this is pretty great. A kid can grow into it and still ride it in 30 years, and based on how it's held up so far, I actually expect it to be usable as long as you can replace the wheels (haven't checked, but it seems probable). Verdict: do it.

Great Scooter, Great Price
Ok, had it about a month now. Got about 20 miles on it. Got it for an alternate to jogging and arthritic knees. Warning: first scooter for me since childhood. Cons: no suspension; with the polyurethane wheels, I feel every little bump and sidewalk crack. I thought the headset was loose but it turns out the folding lock mechanism (pic 2) has a little bit of front/back play, only noticeable when standing still. The downtube stop (pic3), just behind the front wheel was installed backwards with the countersunk hole in the back of the rubber spacer. Believe this was intentional to prevent complaints about the lock not releasing because properly installed, the stop should have a slight backward pressure on the downtube. To release the lock, push the handlebars forward and voila! Pros: plenty of room for my size 10 feet; glides very well; well made and holding up well so far; rear brake works fine when you need it; I don't fold it so have encountered no probs with the folding mechanism; also no probs with surface changes, bumps, etc., with large wheels. While it looks like the cons outweigh the pros, they are all minor and except for the suspension, all easily fixed. For the price, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great Scooters!
I bought two of these scooters for my 6 and 8 year old daughters in different colors. It seems that the different colors may also be slightly different models- which I didn't realize sooner. Its not a deal breaker as these beautiful, sturdy and easy to maneuver scooters were the perfect introduction to two wheeled scooters. I know that the girls will continue to enjoy them for years to come because they just look sooo cool. Also, I can ride the scooter when one of them gets tired... and its actually an enjoyable experience. So, for the one unexpected issue (very small issue I would not have noticed had I not also received a more updated model)... The light blue one has a locking mechanism which you can toggle to engage/ disengage the button used to collapse the scooter. The button was easier to push and my 6 year old can fold and unfold on her own. Unfortunately, the plum colored one only has a VERY hard to push red button that needs to be slid up in order to collapse the scooter. My 8 year old is often disappointed that she cannot close the thing on her own and to be honest, it's quite difficult for me to fold down as well (the button is very hard to compress). I really don't think we would have even noticed had we not had a direct comparison to an easier to collapse model. All around FANTASTIC product though and I would not hesitate to buy again. Its fun that other adults stop me to ask me where I got this cool looking scooter (it has kind of a retro vespa like vibe- very cool).

Second Lascoota Scooter: New Design is Terrible and Unsafe, Buyer abewar
Firstly, I would like to say I had a Lascoota scooter for about three years. My last one was antique blue color (I think). It was very dependable and I had almost no issues with it. It even kicked up very little water on wet surfaces compared to my previous Razor. It was a bit slow, but I enjoyed the scooter enough I wanted to buy another and I will say the changes they have made to the design are awful and some frankly dangerous. I am so disappointed with this scooter that I had to write a review. Let's get to it. About me and my usage for reference: Height: 5'11'' Weight: About 205-210 lbs Daily Ride Time: About 10 minutes, give or take I included this so you can make a decision based on your needs. This clearly advertises itself as a scooter for adults and commuting. I actually returned this scooter once as it broke on me and I thought it was simply a piece missing, but when I got the new one, I paid careful attention to it to see what was going on. Pros: - Friendly customer service. Responded to my email. They told me to return it directly to amazon and just get a new one since I had it for a couple weeks and they'd fully accept it. - Fast. I got the bigger wheels this time as my, honestly, only complaint from the previous model was that it was a bit slower than my Razor. This one is pretty quick. Cons: - Video: This is worst part of the scooter and the most dangerous. In the video, you can see the bolt is extended from the framework. That's at the hinge, where the scooter folds. This constantly comes loose and if you don't screw it back in pretty quickly, will fall off. And not just the bottom bolt, both bolts. If you read where I said that I returned it once, I thought these pieces were just missing which is why my scooter fell apart, but I realized it's because these don't stay tightened and loosen while you ride. What you're seeing in the video is from one 6-minute ride from the bus stop to my job. And when both bolts come off, the scooter completely falls apart. The previous Lascoota design had a hinge that was partly welded on and after three years with it, I never had it break. - The picture of the hinge shows the design. I will admit, I did break my fingernail on the previous design, but it never broke on me. This one can sometimes be incredibly difficult to undo or sometimes fall open on a hair trigger. Also, if it happens to slip out, it's almost impossible to get back together as the inside has a flat piece of metal sheet bent to provide force to keep it all in place. - The height adjustment isn't secure enough. The pressurized know used to be larger, or the holes used to be smaller, not sure, but the old design used to stay secure. When I'm riding, it will sometimes begin collapsing to the lower heights and I have to pull it up. Not as dangerous as the bolts, but very annoying. - The strap broke the first day with both scooters, the first and the replacement. This is garbage design. I don't even like the straps, but for people who do and want to use it, definitely consider this a warning. - The final complaint, not imaged nor a huge deal, is that the front wheel is larger, but the back wheel is smaller. I guess this one is on me because I think it says that in the description, but I didn't pay attention to or think about what that would feel like. It felt very strange at first with my feet being slightly angled upwards. I got used to it though. Summary: I wouldn't buy this scooter. The small complaints aside, the bolt system at the hinge is just plain dangerous. Now for kids, they may be lighter and may not cause the bolts to loosen, but I wouldn't take that chance. That's just me though. It sucks because the previous design was so good that's why I gave this once two chances. I used to ride my previous scooter to work, to the gym, heck even to a bar a couple times. I wouldn't chance that with this one. I hope this helps you all. Stay safe! Update, 3/10/2025: My scooter is almost unrideable and it's been may I can't recommend enough to stay away from this scooter. More things have gone wrong. - The handlebar attachment is held in place by a tiny piece of black plastic. When that breaks, which is will as it's small, the whole black tubing pulls out which then allows the handlebars to pop out of the metal tube very easily, but even worse allows the handlebars to rotate. So if the metal clamp loosens somewhat, the wheels won't turn with you. This is incredibly dangerous. - The clamp itself has a small piece of plastic to guide the clamp when you close it. This doesn't last long and eventually you just have to force the clamp closed. Also, when the black tubing breaks as above, the clamp is no longer held in position and slides up and down the metal shaft. - The screws at the base of the tube fall out. As you can see, I rigged it with a screw I bought from Lowe's. Seriously, don't buy this. I really liked my last LaScoota scooter, but this one is incredibly dangerous. I won't buy LaScoota again.

Solid scooter
I am a mom, and I just introduced scooters to my kids. They can now handle them good enough that I would like to join them when I take them out. I've never used a scooter before so I did a lot of research. I want a foldable one that I can use and that one day my kids will use too. I narrowed down to the A6, A5, and this one. I decided on this one when I found a promo. It came in a big box that I thought I was going to regret the purchase due to size. It is long, but I didn't mind it that much after seeing how easy it was to get it ready to use. It required no assembly. I just clicked on a few things and it unfolded, handle bars up and I was ready to step on it. It is bit heavy but it is solid. I like the spacious platform and carry strap. The ride was smooth and being a first time rider, I had no trouble directing it and braking on it. I found a good height for me. I now can speed with my kids and join in on the fun. It looks like it will last. I will update this review once I get used to riding it.

reflective lights
Although my son loves his new scooter as an early Christmas present, I didn't take the time to research for reflective lights - I had just assumed that they were together, like how bikes already come with reflective lights, so I didn't pay too much attention to it. I suggest for anyone who reads this to purchase the reflective lights. Other than a silly mistake on my part, it is a good scooter for him. My son is 10 years old, very tall for his age and this is perfect for him... unless he grows taller than 6 ft then that will be a different issue ha ha ha
