Iznogoud and the Magic Carpet

Read them as a kid, glad these are being reprinted! Before this the going rates on e-bay were atrocious!! Immortal pun-ville where you can lose yourself!

The stories are very well written and the cartoons just add that much more. Recommend it for all ages able to read.

Iznogoud is great. The writing is very witty, funny & clever. I remember having 'rockets to stardom' as a kid and enjoying it a great deal, but could never find any of the other original 7 that had been published from 1977 upto 1982 (magic carpet, being the last)That changed in 2008 when cinebook started republishing the only 8 books ever to be translated into English,republishing them 2 a year. It's strange that Iznogoud never made mainstreamed in the UK, unlike Asterix and to a lesser extent Lucky Luke. It'll be interesting to see how he does this time and whether cinebook will publish anymore after 'rockets' is republished in August 2011. Iznogoud is a great read not least of all because he's an anti hero (totally dissimilar to Asterix or Lucky Luke)

Bought as a gift and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all parties. Very funny story and character in the book.
