Why didn't I try this before?!!
Years ago when I heard about nutritional yeast, the first thing that came to mind was that only health nuts used this stuff. RONG! After reading about it in Dr. Greger's book, I knew I had to try it. I am so glad I did. They have a pleasant taste and I've begun using them on all kinds of foods to enhance their flavor and healthfulness. I can't wait to try on popcorn instead of butter. They were definitely a good purchase and will continue to buy as the supply runs out (the bag is large and should last quite a while).

It taste good because it's very mild.
I have AFRID. I've tried some others and they have a smell, a taste, and and an aftertaste that doesn't sit well. This is extremely mild to me and I am willing to use it quite often. Now I get why people like it. I didn't before.

Cost-effective option for those who want to experiment with nutritional yeast in recipes
This has a pretty standard yeast flavor, maybe a little more sharp than I've had from other local retailers. But the price per ounce makes it appealing. I could never afford a whole pound at the specialty stores, so this has opened my world to cooking with nutritional yeast. I generally sprinkle 2 tsp on my popcorn. It's also good in soups if you want to get a cheese-like (it's characteristic of cheese, but not exactly the same) flavor for a vegan dish. While it's not the best flavored yeast I've ever had, it's decent enough and the price makes this purchase worth it.
