Fast, reliable and self-adjusting
To begin with, I currently own (or have owned in the past) dozens of different wire strippers. Some were very simple and some were complex expensive mechanical devices. This little Klenk outstrips them all. It takes some getting used to and an occasional twist just before squeezing is sometimes required but overall the tool works wonderfully well. Add to that the fact that it is self-adjusting and you have an outstanding tool. And, the price is very low compared to other less worthy wire strippers. This is actually the second one I've purchased. I had another one for several years but I gifted it to the guy who installed my new boiler since he fell in love with it. He had been using one of those strippers that looks like a flat pair of pliers with multiple wire size holes. Once I let him try out the Klenk, he didn't want to use anything else to strip the hundreds of wire connections and splices the job entailed. I also own the black version of this tool which is sized for 14 and 12 gauge wire. While that one works well on most wires, it's not quite as effective as the smaller red Klenk.

Really nice for small jobs, can be a workout for larger things.
I use this mainly for making wires for breadboards. This works excellent for that purpose and really helps speed things along. Make sure that you have good quality wire, I have noticed that if the jackets are too thick or the wires are too thin, it tends to just rip it apart when you go to strip it. I also like that for breadboards I can use the end to make nice, 90 degree bends in the wires. The only downside I have is that it takes a bit of force to operate these units. Other than that, they are awesome and great for doing quick strip jobs on cables.

works wonders on ptfe
its 2025, bought these in 2022, good lord they have been fantastic at stripping 24awg silicone up to 18 awg ptfe. I never even use the flush cutter on these even though it's fine, the stripper is where the action is. These have served me well over and over, the only thing I couldn't strip was the center conductor on mugami shielded 24awg, that stuff feels like it's glued on anyway. By far one of the best things I've ever purchased at such a low price point. These have stripped ptfe wires my knipex strippers glide over, And I love my knipex strippers. these are what you want when nothing else can do it.

Great gadget for small wiring jobs
I recently saw this tool featured on an episode of DIY networks "Cool Tools" and it looked like the perfect tool for my wiring projects. The main problem I have with traditional wire strippers is the fact that they seems to strip more that just the sheathing on more delicate wires (especially speaker wires). The great thing about this tool is that you will not have such an issue, as the stripping portion does all the work for you. The best way of describing the tool is if someone stacked a pair of nail clippers on one another. The one pair holds the wire in place while the interior pair retracts, causing the wire to strip. I wish I had this tool years ago, as this would have saved me a lot of time and frustration.

Very good wire strippers and solid customer service
Really nice wire strippers with consistent results and excellent post-sale support. These wire strippers make it very easy to get a clean exposed wire segment much smaller than I've had luck with using other wire strippers. A perfect example of the right tool for the job making a task way more pleasant. I experienced an issue with shipping from the manufacturer, entirely my fault, and their support was outstanding. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

Darn. BUT.
I really wanted to like this tool. It's compact and seems well made, and all the videos i watched made it look really simple and hassle free. Unfortunately being as there is no tension adjustment what you get is what you get. It's OK with some wires (mostly braided wire where you can get away with a few missing strands), but practically useless with others. E.g. with the 22AWG solid core i use most often for microcontroller projects, it often snips off wires instead of stripping them. And it almost always nicks the conductor, which makes for a weak spot right at the connection, which i usually learn about later when the wire just falls off the PCB. Darn. EDIT: I was so bummed with this tool but slogging thru Amazon's less-than-helpful search function looking for an alternative, wasn't any less frustrating. So i gave these another look. Turns out that for my use case, all i needed to do was remove one of the tensioning springs. It works absolutely fantastic now. I'm uploading a pic of yellow 22AWG i stripped about five times. The process went like butter every time and the conductor is pristine; not so much as a nick. YMMV of course, read what i wrote above abt the type of wire and projects i'm working on. I had slightly less luck on CAT5 wires. The spring isn't all that hard to put back on if you change your mind. Not changing my rating because i had to figure this out on my own and it's a design flaw, which isn't my responsibility to sort out. And IDK how it will hold up after several hundred wire stripping tasks with one spring missing, since it wasn't designed that way. But for now, wow it's great. Just wanted to let ppl know this, in case you already have one or you buy one despite reviews like this and find it cuts your wires.

good value, good idea
Cutters are OK, strippers are OK. I'm an electrician as a profession, as well as tinkering with electrical devices at home. These are nice for multiple cut and strip back to back. Best example is having 100 conductors that all need terminated. I hold them with cutters down, feels awkward at first but makes tasks go faster so you're not turning them, cutting, turning them, stripping.. I just cut at bottom, strip at top without flipping the tool around. These strippers only work well with 18awg mtw (1015) wire or smaller. I've landed over 2,000 wires using these and they still work, but you have to grip them perfectly now applying pressure at very top of strippers or they will slip and just peel half the wire insulation off and will not take rest off unless you cut insulation slightly, or cut clean and restrip.
