⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Quality and Gentle on Sensitive Scalps!
I’ve been using the Ion Sensitive Scalp 20 Volume Creme Developer for a while now, and it’s hands down one of the best developers I’ve tried. It’s gentle enough for my sensitive scalp—no burning or irritation—which is a huge plus. The consistency is perfect: creamy and easy to mix with my hair color, giving consistent and vibrant results every time. The 32 oz size lasts me quite a while, making it great value for the price. If you have a sensitive scalp but don’t want to compromise on color performance, this product is definitely worth trying!

Reliable, easy to apply
Very good developer, excellent quality. I used it with Ion hair color and it worked perfectly: the mixture was creamy, easy to apply, and didn't run. It doesn't have an overly strong scent and didn't damage my hair like other developers I've tried. The lift level was just as expected with 20 volume and left the color even and shiny. Plus, my hair felt soft after rinsing.

Reliable and friendly towards irritable scalps
I have used the Ion Sensitive Scalp 20 Volume Developer every time I have recolored or wanted to lighten my hair. I have a very sensitive scalp, and not once in the past 5 years of using this product have I ever had an issue. I have also tried the 30 volume and did not run into any complications. I am a semi-frequent bleacher and typically touch up my roots every 1-2 months when I redo my hair color. Even with semi-frequent bleaching, I have never had any major or scary damage. Compared to other bleaches, this one has a less pungent smell and does not burn my scalp... I would still recommend you open up a window, though. I am naturally a dirty blonde (I would say a level 7/8), so the 20 volume works great for me :). Whether I want a full blonde (such as in the photo) or to touch up my roots when I have colored hair, I always use Ion. Amazing product and my go-to for bleach!

Gentle & effective developer
This 20 vol developer works great and is very gentle on the scalp. It mixes smoothly with lightener or color and processes evenly without irritation. I also like that it doesn’t have a strong smell. Perfect for sensitive scalps and consistent results. Would definitely buy again.

Don't waste your time with bleaching kits like I did
I used this in combination with Wella Powder Lightener for Blondes and the result was incredible. Don't waste your time with bleaching kits like I did, just get a bottle of this and some bleach powder and paste an ample amount of this stuff on your head. It literally lifted my hair from medium dark brown to a vibrant copper shade in 15 mins!!! The ratio of bleach powder to developer I used was 1:1.5 but it may be different for you depending on the bleach powder you use. I wanted my hair to go copper, so I didn't put toner in after, but I would recommend toner if you don't want orange/yellow tones showing up in your hair. This stuff doesn't burn the scalp by the way. It smells okay but I would still use it in a ventilated area because it is peroxide after all. Damage is very minimal (not noticeable) if you use the 20 vol. I think it's probs better to just bleach your head repeatedly over time using 20 vol rather than plaster 30-40 vol on it at once. Just use plenty of conditioner and hair oils and wash your head with shampoo less regularly than before to keep damage to a minimum. This is also a great purchase because you get a lot of product and it will last you a very long time (and save you tonnes of money). METHOD I USED: I put A LOT of product into my hair (so much so that it looked as though I was shampooing it) and my scalp didn't itch/burn/tingle at all. After I lathered the bleach in, I covered my head with cling wrap and used a hair dryer to create some heat to quicken the lightening process. This is the 3rd time I've bleached my hair and this is what I've learned: 1 - Use ample product for an even result. 2 - Use a comb to brush bleach into hair so you don't miss any spots 3 - Start with the tips and end with the roots (roots develop MUCH faster) 4 - Wrap your head up in plastic and blow dry it on a high heat setting to quicken lightening process 5 - Don't wash hair with shampoo for at least a week prior to bleaching. The oilier the better! HOPE THIS HELPS AND HAPPY BLEACHING!!! :)
