Cambridge Grammar for First Certificate with Answers and Audio CD

This grammar is a good way to practise your english. The best thing is that there are lots of exercises as the exam ones. If you want to check your answers, you can because there is the key. This grammar helps me every day because at first it gives you the grammar and then you have exercises about that. It is well organised.

I really liked this grammar and I've been studying since I received and I do not have any complaint about the book. I like the shipping because it was fast and in my opinion it's really good.

Il testo è ottimo, lo consiglio perchè mi è arrivato praticamente nuovo nonostante lo avessi acquistato usato. Anche il CD audio è integro. L'esposizione dei contenuti è fatta veramente bene: la grammatica è sicuramente valida, esposta in maniera chiara ed esauriente. Il testo è utile per chi vuole prepararsi per il First in quanto i libri che solitamente propongono i docenti, anche quelli di madrelingua, hanno bisogno di essere integrati con una grammatica.Questa propone prove di ascolto per il listening e le soluzioni agli esercizi. Un libro que realmente me ha encantado.Contiene los puntos clave de la gramática que exige el examen del first certificate, pero con explicaciones muy claras y fáciles de asimilar, y con ejemplos esclarecedores. Algo que me ha resultado muy útil han sido los context listening, pues permiten situar la gramática escuchada en su contexto antes de empezar a estudiarla. Además, tras cada lección hay un examen práctico, con lo cual estás en contacto con ejemplos de exámenes del first certificate, algo necesario para preparar esta prueba.El hecho de que se encuentren gramática, listenings y exámenes prácticos en un mismo libro, además de la relación calidad- precio (a mí me costó unos 20 euros, por debajo del precio de otros muchos libros de preparación del first), me lleva a recomendar este libro a todas aquellas personas que necesiten pasar el examen con garantías y que además no pretendan un gran desembolso de dinero. En fin, bueno, bonito y barato. Un libro muy útil.

Simple et efficace, ce manuel avec exercices permet aux élèves de s'entraîner de façon méthodique et de progresser en grammaire anglaise. Un livre indispensable, même si on ne présente pas le First Certificate.

I am an English teacher and I would recommend this book to anyone who is studying for First Certificate, especially if they are studying alone. The cd provides practical examples of the grammar used in every chapter, together with the audio for the listening exam questions. Each chapter includes a exam question from the writing exam and a specimen essay for each question is included in the key. This is particularly important for students studying alone as many other books only provide suggestions for ideal essay answers, whereas this book gives you the entire essay, so you can see what the examiners expect. The only drawback to this book is that it doesn't cover the speaking part of the exam - you will need to download a sample exam from the Cambridge website or perhaps buy a book of past exam papers so you can see the style of the exam. With my students I also use the book Cambridge Vocabulary for First Certificate with Answers and Audio CD . It's not as good value as this Cambridge Grammar book, as it's about the same price but only has 137 pages, but it does cover all the vocabulary expected for the exam.
