Merry Muscles Ergonomic Jumper Exerciser Baby Bouncer -Blue

This product has been one of the best purchases for our 6 month old boy. He just loves it! He sees it hanging in the family room or in the kitchen (we placed multiple hooks around the house) and he starts jumping in your arms smiling at the jumper wanting to get in it. He especially loves jumping in front of a mirror, its like he is showing off to another baby :) The jumper itself is quality material, the harness is stable, well made and secure it has strong fastening snaps that are adjustable which wrap around the baby's right-side after sitting them inside. The baby sits inclined when at rest yet still able to jump. The harness positioning in how it hangs from the ring is at an angle so as to not produce any strain on the spine this allows the baby to jump for nearly an hour at a time being comfortable and protected. The ring from which the harness is attached is light weight and well designed so as to not get tangled in any of the cords. There is a bungee like cord coming from the rings to the chain which is what is hung from the ceiling hook. The chain is attached to the bungee cord by a string piece of plastic connector with a fastening pin that is kept from coming lose by a simple wire key-ring like ring. It may seem inefficient but it is strong enough and holds up well. The chain is long enough to handle a 6 foot ceiling. Overall the design and construction of the jumper is very simple and improves the jumping experience tremendously for the baby. The cords in the front do tend to get in the baby's face but they get used to them quickly and will eventually grow tall enough to not be intrusive. the bungee cord does tend to get twisted quickly as well due to the baby turning and turning while jumping so when they relax by pulling up the feet or dragging their feet while on a smooth surface will start to slowly unwind spinning the baby slowly, but they are able to stop this themselves by anchoring their feet again. This is definitely a product I hesitated on due to the price, but it is well worth the cost as it will bring much needed activity to those little legs and enjoyment for everyone. Not too mention a break for Mom's arms!

ORIGINAL 4-STAR REVIEW: we purchased this jumper after reading all the glowing reviews. i suppose we had hoped that we'd put our baby in the Merry Muscles Jumper expecting that he'd be entertained for almost an hour. he enjoys it for about 15 - 20 minutes tops and then gets impatient. my theory is that he's simply the kind of baby that would much rather be held than put in a jumper. fair enough. not the jumper's fault... but i think the other reason that he gets frustrated is that the front portion of the jumper comes close to his face so he either bumps his face into the front ropes and plastic fasteners or they come so close to his face that he's distracted or frustrated. i'm pretty sure we have it set up properly. plus, our baby is not small. he's pretty tall for his age. you can see it in the product photo. now imagine the baby jumping around. it's like having a fly buzzing around your face that you want to swat away but can't... i also didn't expect to make so many adjustments to get my baby to sit in it properly. for the first few tries, he seemed to lean all the way to one side. not a big deal to adjust. just not something i had expected. i WILL say that now that we have the hang of getting our 6-month-old in and out of the jumper, for the 15-20 minutes that our baby is jumping around, he IS indeed happy and excited to be in the upright position. therefore, i don't have any regrets over my purchase. this is a well-made product... safe and adjustable. i still think it's worth it. i also recommend getting the Kling Klamp so you can move the jumper to different doorways in your house. UPDATE #1: the day after i wrote my review, my baby lasted about 45 minutes in the Merry Muscles Jumper without me doing anything different to change the set-up! #2 - then the day after that, i received a call from the folks at Kidalog who make the Merry Muscles Jumper. the rep was very sweet and gave me some tips on how to make certain adjustments to make my baby more comfortable in terms of tilting him further back to prevent his face from banging into the front bib. most importantly, i discovered that i had not followed the instructions properly. LOL! it turns out that i had failed to unstitch a certain seam which was causing him to lean in too far to the right. can't wait for him to try it out again tomorrow. i am definitely a happy customer and appreciate the Kidalog customer service! UPDATE #2: having the Kidalog rep walk me through the adjustments for this product was a huge help. i realize now that i was way too impatient to get it all set up and overlooked some key adjustments to getting the jumper to be balanced and sized properly for my baby. the jumper is now tilted back more. the carrier is now snug and balanced around my baby to keep him from leaning too far to one side. the bib still comes close to my baby's face but not to the point where he's wacking himself every time he jumps around. we will be traveling this summer and we'll definitely bring the Merry Muscles with us! i would definitely recommend this product to other parents with young babies. don't make my mistake! DON'T FORGET TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY! :D

Bought this jumper about a month ago for my son who is now 4 months old. He was born 8 weeks early so I was looking for something with plenty of support and this fit the bill. He seemed very comfortable in it from the first time I put him in it and I didn't have to worry that his head control wasn't the best. It is made for babies from 10 pounds up, so he fit in it perfectly even though he is on the small side. A month later, he is finally beginning to actually jump in it instead of just kind of moving around. It's so much fun to watch him! There are many things I like about this jumper. Installation was easy and only took a few minutes. Baby has plenty of support from the seat. He seems to very much enjoy jumping around. I like the fact that it's not very baby-looking. It's simple and I like that. Toys can easily be attached to it. While I haven't had to wash it yet, it will be easy to snap off and toss in the washer. Most importantly, it keeps my little one entertained for a good bit. Usually I can get a start on dinner while he jumps. As other reviewers said, it is a little difficult to get baby into it. It can be very awkward. While it's not at all impossible to do alone, it's much easier with a little help. It has adjustable snaps and you can further adjust it by letting out a seam. I don't really see myself doing that because I'm not very crafty and I wouldn't want to readjust it for the next child. But I think he will get plenty of use even without letting it out. Merry Muscles is a little pricy, but I am pleased with the quality so I think it's worth it. Overall, I would buy this again or as a gift for a baby. I really think my son will enjoy this for months to come and I will enjoy watching him play.
