Eraser Wheel with Adapter - SATC - Cheap Eraser Wheel - Works Well Removing Residual Adhesive
I needed to remove and reinstall an exterior sunroof deflector where I used the best 3M double sided tape during the initial installation. Well I made the mistake of nailing the deflector from behind with a 3.1k pressure washer and it ripped the tape on the sides of the deflector. The deflector was still well adhered; however, after installing a roof basket the deflector started flopping while driving. I tried almost everything. 99% IPA didn't make a dent... It laughed at Goo Gone... I stopped short of using diesel fuel on the residual adhesive, and I had totally forgotten about using an eraser wheel. I then found this cheap eraser wheel, and I instantly purchased. It worked well removing the residual 3M adhesive using a new Flex 1400in lb drill w/turbo and stacked lithium batteries... This cheap SATC eraser wheel finished the job I was unable to complete for almost a year. I buffed the area with M85 diamond cut compound and then hit it with M210 ultra fine pro polish. I grabbed the 99% IPA and cleaned the area well. After getting another roll of that awesome 3M double sided tape, the sunroof deflector is definitely adhered to the roof of the vehicle once again. I let it sit overnight, and then I used TW graphene infused flex wax on the buffed/polished area and the deflector. See attached photo for results. Pros: pricing, availability, adapter included, size, easy to use, Prime delivery (1 day), works great Cons: I experienced no problems using this eraser wheel It's an excellent purchase! Cheaply priced! Next day Prime delivery! Worked great for me!

It works!!!
I used this wheel to remove a large decal from my boat that the previous owner installed and let bake on ~12 years ago. The decal was very UV damaged and cracked but stuck on VERY well. I’ve used a heat gun and plastic scraper and only removed 2-3% of it in an hour. The decal covered about 1sqft of area and this wheel removed it all in about 15 minutes! No damage to the gel coat and I still have about 70% of the wheel left! Great buy.

Worked way better than expected
I used this to remove old adhesive from my Silverado side molding, and it actually worked great. Took the adhesive off without damaging the paint & didn’t leave swirl marks everywhere. Super easy to use.. stick on a drill and don’t apply much pressure. I was honestly worried to try it, but it cleaned everything up pretty quickly. Definitely worth buying if you need to remove decals, tape residue, molding adhesive or old stripes without scraping at your paint for hours.

Quality tool and does what it is supposed to do.
I used this decal eraser to remove old vinyl business numbers from the side of an enclosed trailer. After removing all of the decals, the wheel still has about 50% usable space left. It made quick work of the task after trying other methods to remove the old, dry rotted decals that were baked in place by years of hot Florida sun. The Drill adapter makes it convenient for a small drill. I do recommend a drill with a faster speed then the one I used, but it worked fine for my purposes. Compared to the price of the competitor brands, this works perfectly and you can buy multiples of them for the price of one of the others. Highly recommend if you are trying to remove old decals. Be cautious of the paint underneath, you may have to repaint afterwards if the painted surface is old and oxidized, but that is not because of this product.

Cautious when using
Removed decal effortlessly off my motorcycle rim but it did remove paint finish so be extra cautious.

Works very well
Insanely good price for an eraser wheel. I couldn’t find any that wasn’t triple the price of this near me in store. Worked for my adhesive residue. Would give it a try on a test spot first if you’ve never used one before. Take it slow and work your way up.

What a difference
Knowledge is EVERYTHING. I used this wheel to remove the adhesive stuck to the paint on my truck that was left after removing the body side moulding. Use a heat gun to heat up the side moulding and it will peel right off. That’s the easy part. Learn to use this wheel properly and it will make your job of getting the adhesive off the paint very easy without damaging the paint. Important tip: it is not necessary to use a plastic scraper on the adhesive. It will do more harm than good. Don’t ask me how I know. I used this wheel with the supplied mandrel in my cordless drill. Getting a firm grip on your drill is important. The eraser wheel can chatter on the vehicle surface if you don't have a firm grip. I gripped the drill handle and trigger with my right hand to control the drill trigger speed, and then wrapped my left hand around the drill right behind the chuck. I then rested my right hand against the truck surface and used my left hand to push the wheel against the body panel. This is good form because my left hand controls the force pushing the wheel against the panel, while my left fingers are between the drill and the panel. This keeps the drill chuck from coming into contact with your paint. Turn the drill on high speed and try to keep the contact point of the wheel on the line of adhesive. Use medium pressure with the wheel against the panel. I now use my left hand to slightly move the wheel up and down while using my right hand to slowly push the drill left or right moving thru the line of adhesive. Take your time. After about going over 6 inches of the line of adhesive, stop and take a microfiber towel and rub HARD across the area you went over. The eraser wheel makes a huge mess. It is rubber and flakes off as it works. It will leave a thick tan residue on the paint. That is why it is necessary to have a high quality microfiber towel. It is best to use a short nap microfiber that you can see the individual nubs on the surface of the towel. Rub HARD with this towel to remove the tan residue left from the eraser wheel. This will not scratch your paint. Also know that the eraser wheel will get very hot. This why you don’t want to try to remove the whole line of adhesive all at one time. It needs to cool some. Know that the eraser wheel will smear the adhesive on the paint. That is why you want to keep the eraser wheel moving in an up and down motion as you use it, but don’t use a WIDE pattern because it smears the adhesive further. Some areas of the adhesive will be thicker than others, so it will require a second pass and possible a third pass. Always wipe the area with the microfiber after each pass to remove the residue left by the eraser wheel, otherwise the residue from the wheel keeps building up and you really aren’t getting down to the adhesive. IMPORTANT TIP: it is not necessary to use a wet cleaner or liquid adhesive remover of any kind while using the eraser wheel. If you do, you will only slow down the process. I thought I would be smart and use Goo Gone and 3M specialty adhesive remover after each pass of the eraser wheel after I had wiped off the tan residue left by the wheel. I thought this would further soften the adhesive and make it easier to remove. It did exactly the opposite. It also softened the eraser wheel and made it gummy. It smeared the adhesive more and made it harder to remove. AFTER you have made 2 – 3 passes with the eraser wheel and removed all the adhesive, then you can use goo gone to remove any residue left. Finally use a 50/50 isopropol alcohol/ water mix to remove all reside. I suggest you use a high quality automotive paint rubbing compound to remove any faint ghosting of the paint in the area where the adhesive was. Follow by polishing the entire door panel to blend and match the rest of the paint and then use a wax or sealer to protect the paint.

Works perfectly
Machine speed must be moderate. High power machine may result in colour damage.

Works well.
I use the item to remove 3M tape that’s left over from wheel weights. It removed the sticky residue quickly and with a wipe of a rag and some brake cleaner the wheels is ready for more wheel weights. Does not scratch paint. Don’t go back and forth between using it on a rim then car paint. Pick one I guess 👍 good tool.

Got the BMW spoiler glue off
Purchased to remove beta link from the bmw bootlid after we removed the spoiler, it did a fantastic job of removing all the horrible hard glue and not damaging the paint on the car Easy to use to lock it into the drill and off you (if using on the car take some breaks so the part doesn’t get too hot)
