Looks like it work fine after you figure out how to attach it. Bought for friend to use while working on laptop as passenger during long drive coming up. Sun has previously made viewing the screen very hard. This should do the trick. Seems to be well made and sturdy. Well designed with foldable side flaps using magnets. Folds flat when not in use.

The shade is light, and easy to attach. It shades the screen and the keyboard from the sun and definitely helps with keeping the computer from overheating. The flaps on the sides can be pushed up to give visibility to an external monitor, or can be left down for additional sun block. It fits my laptop well, but I do have to wrap the elastic under my screen or it hides the Windows menu bar.

Update to my previous review below: The company quickly contacted me regarding the yellowed product I received and sent me a replacement asap. The replacement had no signs of yellowing and I noticed it appeared to be an updated version as the elastic was thicker and more supportive. It’s a little large on my laptop but still works, that said my laptop is REALLY small/compact so probably would fit perfect for most people. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again, but hopefully they’ve sorted out any old inventory with Amazon. The sides on it were yellowed when it arrived so it looks pretty gross. Otherwise decent quality but overpriced at $60.

This cover is well made, rather like an Apple iPad cover in quality and durability. It folds up nice and compact for easy storage and transport. However, it is smaller than the description implies. My laptop is 14 inches diagonal on the screen without the bezel, and 13 inches horizontally including the bezel. This 12-13-14 sun shield is about 1/4 inch too small. I am able to force it into place, barely. In terms of performance I bought it because my "tent" model blocks too much of the screen, and it does solve that problem. It's also an excellent privacy screen. As a sunshade it works well in twilight conditions and in shaded environments. but in bright sunlight it doesn't block enough background light (sunlight reflecting from buildings, clouds) to make the screen readable, even in high contrast mode.

Great for shading so I could work outside but this attracted heat in direct sun and could not be used for very long. Disappointing.

I’m an author and a secretary, so I spend A LOT of time on my laptop, but I also love to be outdoors and in the sunshine. Anyone who’s ever used a computer outdoors knows it’s dang near impossible to see the screen. I wondered if something like this existed and it does! It does a pretty good job of shading the screen. Of course it still helps to sit in the shade or angle yourself to avoid glare. It could also be used for screen privacy in internet cafes and public places. Definitely worth the purchase.

If you like to work outside on a device and it is sunny- this is a must buy. It’s worth the price. Works perfectly to keep device cool and blocks the glare from the sun. Love it!
