Chicken Jerky Dog Treats with Only 3 Ingredients and No Fillers, 3 Pound Bag

Great dog treat! My beagles love these.

Since the salmonella outbreak that took Waggons Chicken Jerky off the market for good I have been looking for Chicken Jerky treats that looked like chicken not ground up whatever strips that was also reasonably priced. I have tried quite a few brands generally from Sam's Club until their most recent offering which my dog that eats anything spit out and absolutely refused to touch it. I wasn't worried about the early 2013 & the China scare, reviews written later in the year were great. I also know that because of the 1 child policy the majority of empty nesters have adopted dogs as children just like we have but with even greater enthusiasm, so I wasn't worried about tainted food they love their dogs just like we do. I am also aware that politically we are close to a trade war, competition & propaganda has significantly increased since it was hinted then confirmed that China has over taken the USA as the number 1 exporter & importer. US propaganda is anti-China. Anyhow all that aside the true test is what my furry 4 legged kids think. From the time the Brown truck delivered the Kingdom Chicken Jerky the dogs were sniffing the box following me around until I opened the box then they escorted me to the cookie cupboard where they camped out taking turns bringing me to the cupboard where. Of course I gave in & allowed them to have an extra treat however with reports of possible tainting lingering I only gave them each 1/2 piece around midday & then monitored outdoor activities. They had no adverse reaction, The next AM we still had the previous brand of jerky which they had been eating enthusiastically without any problem for 3-4 weeks as part of their routine breakfast they both dropped on the floor 1 went to the cookie cupboard while the other stared pathetically until I got them the Kingdom Jerky. I gave them their routine 3 piece as their breakfast desrt they happily ate it We had no intestinal problems, if anything they have been more active than normal after breakfast running around wanting mommy to play before I have my breakfast emptying their playbox chasing squirrels the typical dog day. So I'd say Kingdom Pets Premium Dog Treats, Chicken Jerky, 48 Ounce Bag is a hit the kids like it. The 48oz (2.5lbs) is great. The price & size of Kingdom's Chicken Jerky is comparable to the Jerky price offered by Sam's but much better quality. The Kingdom Chicken Jerky is the closest to Waggons I've found so far that isn't prohibitative priced for daily use. It is stiffer than the ground strips which makes it better for teeth & gums. My 2 furry 4 legged children whole heartedly recommend this product and it is priced just right for Mom's budget too.

Good product

I thought I had tried every chicken jerky brand (for dogs), I found one good brand and stuck with it but I decided to give this a try. Big difference, this chicken jerky is thicker , in a rectangular shape and my dog likes it a lot better. The rectangular shape fits perfectly in a quart size zip lock bag.

The dogs don't like it nearly as much as the duck jerky. It is very difficult to break into smaller pieces, as well. By the description, I expected it to be actual chicken breast " whole muscle" jerky like the duck from the same brand, and it is not. This product is chopped and reformed and far too thick.
