565 Automotive White Thread Sealant - General Purpose, High Viscosity, Rapid Cure, Replaces Tapes & Pipe Dopes - 50 ml, 1 Pack

I use this stuff on a lot of fittings for oil lines, hydraulic fittings, and fuel return lines and so far I havent had an issue. Been pretty happy with a lot of loctite stuff so this is kinda what I expect from them at this point.

Exactly what I needed for my transmission plug after a fluid change. Great stuff.

Sealant used for antique car fuel line connections that always leaked before. No leakage now! Sealant does not harden, except in threads, so directions say, so easy to remove fittings in future. I actually did remove fitting two weeks later - came apart easily with tools. reassembly was easy - no hardened sealant to remove. Sealant can be smear-y - so do not use excess on your connection. excess wipes off.

This thread sealant does exactly what it is designed to do. This type of product is great for oil plugs on motorcycles and similar oily environments. My only problem is, there is so little product in that big tube! It is a little deceptive. I will consider a different brand when this runs out.

I originally bought this for use replacing my hot water coils in my Oil furnace. Then some time later I used it to replace some short nipples that the bozo's who installed the furnace put an iron pipe in the water feed upstream of the pressure reducing valve. The important part of my review: I used the 565 to make 12 threaded connections. Not one had any leak at all. On the original furnace installation I could see a number of threaded fittings had wept a little before finally sealing. The Locktite looks clean and dry even after a few years. I definitely recommend this product especially for DIYers like me. I'll take any help I can get as I dislike doing plumbing.

Great product when doing rear oil changes

I will never use Teflon tape again. I will always use this product instead! I've used it on my plumbing hardware, and it works perfectly. But even better, I used it on my air compressor fittings, and not one bit of air leakage from any of them! I'm going to order another tube because I don't dare run out. I will never go back to Teflon tape again.

I couldn't find that product in stores and auto parts near me. Might be overkill for my fuel systeme but better safe then sorry. Loctite is a brand you can trust.
