So far, so good. We shall see how long it lasts. I have another one like it I found at Goodwill and it's been through it. I prefer batteries since the USB version have limited duty-cycles on the battery and when you can put in your own, all you have to do is carry a few extra if your going out on trail in case the batteries get low. It's build is Okay, but as I said, I'll see how long it will put up with the eventual abuse it will go through with my primitive camping. I'd say it's every bit of 1300 LUX - very bright. I also use the red light to preserve my night vision. I'd like brighter colored lights but for the price it's about what you'd expect. Headband seems well made and durable but these are usually the first to go on you. I'll follow-up this review if anything falls apart.

Very servicible light with multiple lighting options, including red. The red is not the brightest, but it works in seeing inside your deer blind during the dark without lighting up the whole area with white light. Not quite bright enough in the red mode for walking trails after dark, unless they are well marked or well known to you. The white bright levels are very functional and bright.

These are very bright!! They provide premium light for a very affordable price. I am very pleased! My husband uses them while deer hunting and they provide great visibility in the early morning and at night.

Perfect. My son used these with his buddy’s on a camping trip. They loved them. Battery life is awesome. Light is bright. Red light is awesome. Highly recommended.

Inserting the batteries was a little difficult but I love the different settings and how bright it gets!

I’m certain that I’ve paid much more for comparable headlamps this bright. The housing is durable and doesn’t feel cheap. These were such an awesome find that I have since bought another set and intend to buy another. Inexpensive enough to leave in each car, my office and have around the house when the next tree falls and kills the power, or the kids take the dog for a walk at night. Haven’t measured how long batteries last but I can say we’ve been camping twice in the last month, kids have them on all night and I haven’t changed the batteries. If I had to guess I’d say easily been used 15 hrs and still running on 3 AAA. The band is soft and very adjustable from child to adult. There is both red and white light. Let me say “ I don’t like the dark”. That being said The white light is very bright and blinding if you look directly at it. I feel comfortable and secure in my surroundings in the darkest dark while camping! The red light is more of a safety light, gets lots of attention And seen from far off but does not cast a beam very far. It is ample enough to search around in a dark car or tent and not disturb anyone greatly. Hope this helps. In the end it is a great headlamp and I highly recommend for the quality and price for 2. Promise you won’t be disappointed!
