Amplify considering the voice recording
This mic booster works excellent, even with a not expensive mixer, the gain is amplify without any problem, and the sound quality still excellent, obviously using the parameters for a different voice frecuency.

Great little booster. Highly recommended.
I have been using the CT 1 for two months in my home studio with excellent results. My signal chain is: SM57 > Mic Booster CT 1 > no-name XLR > MBox 2 Mini > USB port on laptop PC > Audacity. My measurement tools are just my own ears. In practical terms, the input signal is noticeably higher, and I do not detect any changes in tone coloration nor added noise. My application is voice work for corporate training content and podcasting. The attached image my shows results using the above signal chain, 48v phantom power, input gain set to 3:00, and speaking [silence] "the red fox jumped over the lazy dog" [silence]. Track 1 is the SM57 only. Track 2 is the SM57 + CT 1. Let your eyes be the judge! The build quality is good enough for my home studio use. Fitment is comfortably tight/secure. This simple device has elevated the quality of my recordings using my existing gear with no learning curve.

Killer
I recently bought a UAD SD-1 and even though the preamps on my Antelope audio interface had more than enough gain on its preamps to handle the SD-1. I decided to purchase this particular mic booster because of price and wanting to take some of the load off of my interface’s preamp. To my surprise, this Mic booster packs a lot of punch in a small package. It is well-built and easy to use/set up. It does not appear to affect the quality of sound coming from the mic in any negative way. It is clear and articulate, doing exactly what you’d expect of a mic booster. If I ever needed another mic booster, I’d choose this over the competition due to its price to performance ratio.

Solid unit. Clean sound.
Item works well. Clean sound and easy to use. A good problem solver to have in the bag. The downside is unit has a large diameter and cannot plug directing into a female jack, such as on a mult box. In this case, a cable has to be between box and booster. Otherwise unit works well and seems to be well built.

Works as well as the much more expensive and well-known brands out there.
Bought one of these on a suggestion from Bark at Obscure Mics. It works as well as any of the "name brand" mic gain boosters that cost 2-4x as much. I use it with a a Shure SM7b, a notoriously gain-hungry microphone, and it does just fine. No audible noise and I really like the fact that it's much more compact and easier to work into tight spaces. Klark Teknik has been a seriously underrated brand for years. This is a hidden gem more folks need to know about. It just works, and at a great price.

5 stars from an amateur recording hobbyist.
The amplifier allows me to lower my recorders input, thus reducing the noise floor. The unit is solid. Things to consider: Where do you put it. When attached to the microphone it adds weight, length and a moment arm to the connection. I would recommend leaving it on the stand when used on the microphone. The form factor of the pre-amp prevents it being plugged directly into most mixers or recorders. Perhaps a short patch cable from the mixer would be the way to go if you wish the microphone to be mobile. Performance is satisfactory. I use it with a Tascam DR40's phantom power.

Defective Product!
This thing was on back order when I purchased it, the price was outstanding and product had great reviews so I waited. I've gotten a new audio interface and cables thinking they were the issue, until finally I replaced my smb7 mic thinking well I guess it's the mic... while all along it was this piece of garbage. I wanted to love this thing! I honestly think it even messed one of my mics up... I dont know if it's possible but before I got this thing my AKG had a different sound to it, it now has an awful sound to it and is unusable. I ended up wasting so much more money trying to use this booster. My advice.. buy more expensive one.

Fantastic preamp!!!
I hope it's not too soon to celebrate, but so far I LOVE this thing! It boosts the mic volume quite a lot on my Zoom R24 recorder so that the volume hiss is gone. I was able to get the vocals (in my demos) nice and loud without a lot of noise floor. So far, I'm very happy with this product. Also, I didn't need any phantom power to use it. (Edit: I actually do need phantom power if I am not running my mic through my effects pedal. It doesn't seem to work as well without the pedal, even with phantom power turned on, but maybe my recorder is just not performing as it should anyway. When paired with the pedal, the adapter is totally wonderful.) This little thing is very powerful, so you really have to make sure to turn the volume down low enough so that it doesn't clip. It's great that one doesn't need to turn it up as high because that means much less hiss and noise in the final recording! Everyone has a different set up, so your mileage may vary. (Remember that this is for dynamic mics, and other passive mics, not condenser mics.)

Just as good as a Cloudlifter
I'm new to owning a dynamic mic and the one I have the ATR 2100x was way too quiet, maxing out the gain on my Scarlett raised the noise floor and made the recordings unusable. My mate came over with a Cloudlifter to troubleshoot the mic and turns out I needed a booster. I decided to give this one a try and it worked just as well, the build quality is solid and it's heavy for its size. I strongly recommend giving the Klark Teknik CT1 a try if you're picking up a dynamic mic.

REDUCE FEEDBACK
The Klark Teknik MIC Booster CT 1 has been a fantastic addition to my audio setup. What I immediately found was how well it boosted the signal from my dynamic microphone. It worked so effectively that I actually had to turn the gain down on my audio interface, which was a pleasant surprise and quite a contrast to how I typically had to run things before. While the price is on the higher side for such a compact unit, the performance really justifies it. Beyond just the strong, clean signal, I also noticed a significant improvement in managing feedback. The clearer, hotter signal from the mic, thanks to the CT 1, really helped to reduce feedback issues I'd been experiencing. It's truly a simple, effective tool that's made a noticeable positive difference in my sound quality and overall control.

Bueno, bonito y barato.
