Burgess Dry Cat Food for Senior Cats with Turkey and Cranberry, 1.4 kg

Burgess Senior Cat Kibble. My rescue girl is getting on a bit now, and has always been a very fussy eater. I've previously tried to move her on to better quality foods, with very limited success. Either completely turning her nose up, licking off the gravy on wet food, or throwing up undigested food immediately after eating - nice! She'd recently had a very swollen tender tummy, and the frequency of vomiting immediately after eating even her usual food was increasing, poor thing. A deposit in the cat litter tray would stink out the whole house. I started to think that this was some sort of stomach reflex/gut issue rather than hairballs. After doing some reading, I figured out she most likely had food sensitivities (multi protein, additives in popular brands etc), and that a gentle mono protein food, with cleaner ingredients like this one, might help & be worth a go. And delighted to say, it has! She took to the kibble immediately, a real first, and almost immediately the vomiting went from daily to every 2 weeks, to every month, to now where it's been several months with zero vomiting. Stomach no longer swollen or tender. Stools no longer stink. She's much more playful, spritely & chatty. There was an adjustment period of a couple of weeks, but its like her stomach needed tine to heal. And she's now, at the grand age of 10, for the first time ever, started to show interest in real foods like white fish & salmon as treats. Overall her health has dramatically improved - I am astonished. I'm really pleased she's now eating a much better quality food than before, and she seems to really enjoy the taste. I started with the 1.4kg size bag, which is paper packaging. And then tentatively moved on to the 4kg size bag size, which is resealable plastic. Very impressed, and will continue to buy!

The driver came into back garden to drop off which is not acceptable and a breach of privacy. Item could have been left at front door or a neighbour, but message said item was given to resident, it was not. We found it by our private patio door so they must have climbed into garden. Product is good other than that.

Burgess mature cat dry food with turkey and cranberry for cats from 7 years old and up. This senior cat food is an excellent value for money and can be compared with much more expensive brands. The product arrives in plastic pouches which might not be the most eco friendly solution but surely does keep the food protected while stored and fresh for long.Long expiry date too. The pouches are also air tight to keep the food fresh after opening. No problems getting the cat to eat the food, I can't comment on the taste but my cat seem to enjoy this one. This food states that contains cranberry for its antioxidant properties and boosting the immune system. Also includes taurine, that promotes heart health and clear vision and glucosamine for joint health and omega fatty acids for healthy skin and coat. Constituents: 31% protein 3% crude fibres 12% fat content 6.5% inorganic matter

My cats go through phases of liking/disliking biscuits they would usually eat, which is usually Iams or Purina. Recently, they turned their noses up at these brands to the point of refusing to eat them altogether so I tried other brands but they still weren't amused so I decided to try my luck on Amazon and came across Burgess biscuits. At first I wasn't sure with cranberry being part of the ingredients but I thought I'd give them a go anyway as everything else I've tried hasn't met with their approval. What can I say? They love them!!! And my cats are older too so they need something that won't irritate their bellies. I'm so glad I got these for them as I was genuinely starting to think that nothing was going to work. I will definitely be buying these again for them..... or at least, until they stick up their nose at them too. Which I'm sure in time they will, in typical cat-diva style.

I say my cat loves these kibbles, but then to be fair, he just eats, eats and eats, eats a bit more. Nit picky at all. I am trying them as his skin flaky, dandruff present. To see if they help, as grain free, full of goodness. I hope they help, my concern. My cat will eat until sick he likes them that much lol I have to put them in a activity ball to get him to exercise rather then swallowing whole. I hope then, his coat, skin health will improve

Our cat's not usually fussy when it comes to dry food, but took his sweet time to get through this, seemingly only eating it when he realised there weren't any other options on the horizon.

Our cats were starting to turn their noses up at their usual brand of dried food, so being the good and gullible humans that we are, we tried a different one - this one and those annoying furry narcissists absolutely love it. No doubt at some point in the near future, they will decide that they are bored of this and move onto something else, but for the time being we have happy cats which makes for a happy life.

I have a 15 year old cat and he doesn't like many of the branded dry food, I decided to try as a friend of mine recommended it. My cat likes this brand as I put some down for him and he ate all of it. It smells like real food versus the bad smell you get with other dry food brands, I will continue to purchase this brand in the future.

chNged their dry food too this. one of my cats passed blood along with his stools after consuming this. blood stopped when i stop feeding h this. changed to another brand, now no more blood
