Wonderful buy!
Love these boots! They were exactly what I wanted. I've worn them every chance I could to wear them in but they don't need that wear in period. I'm a size 7 and ordered a 7 and they fit great. They are tight enough to feel secure but leave enough room to add a thick sock. I have not obtained any hot spots or discomfort like other boots! Allso, they feel durable like a boot, but include the look of a tennis shoe and the support around the ankle is fantastic! If you're looking for a great boot that's stylish for the outdoors, I highly recommend this one. I love them so much, I wear them around town and in my house...

Quality made, breathable, and comfortable
I've worn this once on a hike. It wasn't too hard, mostly flat land, but it was comfortable and breathable. The high cut design prevents too much sediments or debris from getting in my shoe. It's high quality and it seems to be durable. I enjoy it a lot and anticipate many more hikes with this shoe.

Very Waterproof and Comfy
Love them. exactly as pictured. made it thru miles of serious walking in NYC this weekend while it poured down rain. My feet were dry the entire day and night. Very comfortable. Lots of support.

Would recommend
I bought these shoes before I left on a trip to Iceland. I knew I would be hiking a lot and would need a sturdy hiking shoe that were comfortable and would keep my feet dry. These definitely did the job! I hiked in the rain and near/behind waterfalls and my feet never got wet. These held up just as well as my friend's hiking shoes but cost half the price of hers. They appear to be fairly true to size, I normally wear a 6.5 or 7 and ordered the 7. They fit really well- though I did wear a slightly thicker sock (wool). Here's a pic of the shoes after a muddy trek, brown pair. And my socks stayed dry and clean!

I really wanted to love these but....
I really wish I could write a good review but I can’t. Yes, fit as expected, very water resistant, great traction and support BUT broke within the first 30 minutes of use. The inner ankle hook for the laces on both feet snapped the very first time I wore them. If it was just one hook, maybe that would be okay and fixable but BOTH hooks have completely snapped off, leaving me with zero ankle support. So disappointed these no longer work since I loved the first thirty minutes in them.

This is a great hiking boot at a great price
This is a great hiking boot at a great price. I could wear these no problem for half-day or shorter hikes, but when I wore them for a full day hike (Half Dome in Yosemite), the sides on the upper ankle on both boots dug into the area right above my ankle so bad that I was limping the last quarter of the way down. I'm not sure if this is a problem with my own anatomy, as this has happened with other hiking boots before, or if hiking boots just hit my leg at a bad height and angle. My fiance has the men's version of this boot, and his never ever cause him pain and he LOVE THEM. So, I would say if you are on the fence, get these. You won't find a better boot for such a great price.

It wasn't too bad, but my socks and feet were damp
I don't think waterproof means what they think it means. Unfortunately I purchased late last fall and didn't get around to wearing them as hiking boots until the weather began to warm. Too late to return them. The first time I wore them I walked through wet morning dew grass and water began seeping in. It wasn't too bad, but my socks and feet were damp. I had some waterproofing for nubuck and thought I would spray them to shore up the waterproofing. Several days later I wore them on a proper hike. We had no rain, so the path was dry. There were no puddles, streams, creeks, or rivers. There was no standing water of any kind. By the time I finished my mile hike, my feet were soaking wet. Not just damp, but soaked. The only water I came in contact with was the moring dew from the grass along side the dry path. The boots acted like a sponge and sucked up every drop of water they brushed up against. I would have been better off with no shoes. My feet would have been dry by the time I got home. To add insult to injury, it took two days for the boots to dry. So now I only wear them on an afternoon when there is little chance of coming in contact with a wet blade of grass. As far a sizing goes, I ordered my regular size of 6.5 and they fit perfect. I can comfortably wear thick wool socks or thinner cotton socks. As far as comfort goes, they're o.k. Not quite sneaker comfort, but comfortable enough to wear for a couple of hours. Oh, and if it's hot outside and it's not damp, my feet still get wet because they make my feet sweat. The picture I've attached is a glass containing some of the water I squeezed out of one of my socks when I got home from my hiking trek.
