Best stand for the cost
I checked all over the internet and read a bunch of reviews. More importantly I also went to college for recording and production for quite a few years and have used a number of different stands. I'm not going to lie, there are better stands out there- but they start at about $80. This is the best buy for the money in my opinion. Good metal material for most parts of the stand. The clamp could be better but it's much better than the other cheap options at the same price. I also read all the bad reviews- for people complaining about the legs not being stable or collapsing when they are not extended all the way. That's because the legs should be extended all the way lol. That will also get you the widest base for balance. The only time stand legs shouldn't be out all the way is MAYBE if you are finagling legs in between drum set hardware (cymbal stand legs in the way, etc.) Put one of the legs in the same direction as where your mic is sticking out. Get a stand weight for the back of the boom arm if need be. If you don't know how to set it up or what I'm talking about, just search it on YouTube. People also complain about the clip- can't say if that's valid I'm using a shock mount, but you should probably have received a clamp/shock mount specific to your mic when you bought your mic- use that. I originally complained when I got this product (but that was just because it came damaged in shipping- and Amazon replaced it for me and covered the shipping) so I'm now adjusting my original review. The product itself is/was great I'm not going to blame the product on what was ultimately a shipping mishap.

Just Wow! The quality is unbelievable!
I am a full time traveling musician so I understand the need for road-worthy gear. I have to admit I bought a Amazons Basic mic stand a few years ago and it was worthless but at the time it was on;y like $15 so I just sucked it up and tossed it. I looked at the photos and checked out the weight and specs and figured I'd try it! I'm glad I did! The tripod base of this stand is beefy, it's got a little weight like it should have being it's the base and foundation of the stand. The rest of the stand feels and looks rugged too! You can't go wrong for the price that's for sure!

Works fine but not the best
Basic mic stand. Works fine but I know there are better stands out there. This is probably the most cost effective route. The stand feels flimsy and there is no counter weight. The boom doesn’t secure enough to keep it from spinning at least with an iPad mounted to it but would lock enough for a mic. Overall I am happy with it because the quality for the price is fine. This stand should hold up to daily use and wont break the bank.

Great mic stand for the price.
I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. If you know mic stands, at this price they are usualy very light weight with low quality components. I took a chance on these and they are quite a bit better than most for this price. The base is actually made of metal and legs are a little longer making them more stable. I used four for a gig this weekend with no problems. I will definitely buy more. I wish these were available again. There is nothing else in this price range that comes close.

Worked ok for a while
I play about 3-5 shows a week so I really use the heck out of my equipment. That being said, this was fine for a few months although never was really feeling that sturdy. Now when I tighten the boom all the way, it somehow slips whatever threads it’s had and starts to lower on its own when my microphone is in place. I’m shocked that it wouldn’t last longer than 4 months even for how much I use it

Get what you pay for
Was in a pinch, and bought this for my gigs. One of the tightening screw things got lost a week after purchase. Maybe my fault, should have rescrewed it in after loosening. Was lucky to have another screw type thing that fit the missing piece available. Light weight. Does it’s job. But not that impressed. Still using it, so maybe I shouldn’t bitch that much…

Just what I needed
The AmazonBasics microphone mount is really good. It is affordable, yet it comes with a clamp and is sturdy enough to work for my use case. It took me three minutes to set up and I could not be more happy with my purchase. It may be simple, but it doesn’t need to be anything more than that.

Worth the money.
The best part is. It’s not expensive and it works exactly how it should. The clamps to hold the microphone has rubber padding on it so it doesn’t slip out. But I’m honestly buying it for the tripod because the tripod is really tall. So even if I had to tape the microphone (it doesn’t need it by the way) it’s still does a great job for the money.

No assembly required. Clip included (I chose that package). It's not super durable but it is stable, I wouldn't use it for singing sans-guitar (I prefer a straight stand with a solid metal base) but for singing while playing, it does the job fine. It's a perfect choice for a jam spot or an application where it'd be left assembled and not moved or fussed with too much but I wouldn't take it on tour as I don't believe the connecting pieces could handle all the set-ups/tear-downs. Holds my sennheiser e840 firmly with no slow drop during use. For a beginner or occasional use, it's a great buy. 👍

Overall not a bad stand for the price. However, the base doesn't have a lock to keep the legs from shifting once in place. I ended up lowering the legs to the lowest position which takes away from some of the overall height but at least it remains stable this way.
