Will these letters sink in water?

To answer your question I filled a small bucket with water and dropped some letters in one at a time. Yes, they went to the bottom of the bucket. Some appeared at first to float but they sunk slowly to the bottom of the bucket as well. I did both lower case as well as capital letters.

Can anyone tell me the actual size of the letters?

Of course, the size varies by letter, but they are big enough that my two year old wouldn't swallow them, which was what I was most worried about. I still would watch any child with any small toy, but for example, the letter "m" is about 2.25 inches by 1.5 inches.
