I love this shampoo. I have oily scalp and this helps to clean so well without drying my length. I have natural long brown hair with oily scalp but dry length. This removes the oiliness so well without drying. I have been using it for more than two years and it helps to maintain hair health. The big bottle also lasts very long so I’d say it value for money. The shampoo itself is transparent and thick without a strong smell. I’d give it 10 out of 5 if I could.

So, I don't even have a lot of hair. I shave my head and have maybe 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch at any time to shampoo. I used to just use my body wash or bar soap, until I stayed at a friend's house over night and grabbed this in their shower to shampoo. I IMMEDIATELY went home and ordered a bottle. Gets my scalp clean without drying out my skin, smells nice but not too fragrant. And a little goes a long way.

Nexxus Clean and Pure Clarifying shampoo did exactly what the description said it would do. It removed the calcium from my hair which was needed to return the shine and condition of my hair to healthy. The lime in the local water had dulled and dried out my hair. Nexxus Clean shampoo removed the dulling minerals from my hair, without sulfates and with a light pleasant smell. It had a very reasonable price for the quantity. It is the best shampoo I have found in years and a great value. However, I broke out in eczema on my scalp for the first time after using this shampoo for several weeks. I am so said that I can't tolerate the ingredients. My dermatologist said it was due to the fragrance.

So i believe i habe low porosity hair. Coupled with depression, my hair makes wash day a chore and a half. I watched a video where a stylist recommended using tqo separate clarifying shampoos to strip buildup from the hair and scalp to allow moisture to take. I dont know which i one did the trick, this has done wonders for my hair. Were talking 3 weeks out and my hair is still soft and shiny. Im thpe 4c and my hair usually gets course and dry over time even with daily moisturizing. I went ths affordable route rather than the luxury route. Nexus was the most expensive but because of the volume. I love thst it came in a 33oz bottle. It will take me a good long while to get through. My hair hasnt been this moisturized sinxe i did a home made avocado prepoo hair mask.. i was tempted to go out without oil on my hair to seal it. My hair detangled so easily after. I look forward to the results in the future.

I won’t give it zero stars but I do hate this shampoo. I’m actually really upset because I never spend more than drugstore prices on shampoo and conditioner. Mainly because they have always made my hair feel and look perfect. While your hair still ends up looking and feeling great after it’s dry using this, it feels terrible while you’re shampooing. In fact, it’s increased my time in the shower, because it doesn’t feel clean at all and I’m trying soooo hard to make sure I end up getting it all out and can’t tell because it doesn’t feel like it’s getting clean/washed out. It feels heavy and like there’s buildup as you’re washing it. I’m use to a squeaky clean feeling when I use a cleansing shampoo. Nope, not with this one. It does smell clean and it does lather pretty good, it just doesn’t make me feel clean. I’ve also noticed my hair gets greasier more quickly using this too. I typically (with other shampoos) can go 2-3 days before having to wash my hair again. With this, the second day, my hair has already gotten greasy. And I don’t have as much volume either. I just don’t like it. Wouldn’t recommend it if you’re wanting a squeaky clean scalp!

I don't understand all the negative reviews citing the bottle not being full. It's 100% full of the 13.5 ounces listed in the description, and on the bottle itself. I took a pic next to a can for reference. The can is 10.75oz, so almost 11oz right there. The Nexxus bottle is slightly larger in diameter and you can see it has more than enough liquid above the can height to make up the whole of the 13.5oz it is advertised to contain. Just bc they didn't fill it to the lid, doesn't mean it's not full. I hope this helps clear up the reviews. The shampoo itself works great. Nice scent to it, and a little goes a long way. I would start with less than you think you'd need. You can always add a bit more if you're not getting enough coverage, but it lathers really well. I am using it to lighten a coloring job I did on my hair (the medium brown coloring I wanted came out dark brown), and I'm following it with a Marc Anthony repairing hair mask that I leave on for about five minutes and wash out. I wouldn't use this shampoo without a conditioning mask or really good conditioner afterwards, btw, especially on color-treated or bleached hair. It's lightening the color of my hair gently with each wash, so I am happy with my purchase.
