Kept locking up and shutting down. NOT user friendly. Nothing worked properly and could not insert the landscape items. Returning it.

This software is quit powerful and is exactly what I was looking for. While not the current version (6.0 is most current), it is very comprehensive. I strongly suggest that: 1) any buyer use the tutorials included; 2) have your measurements ready to plug into the program when you actually begin the design process, and 3) while watching the tutorials, make a "draft" version of what project you want to create (like a kitchen) and don't worry about getting it perfect - while you learn the program! This is a CAD type program and can seem rigid/unforgiving. The "undue" and "edit" elements are very helpful when needed.

I thought this was supposed to be user friendly. Its not. I looked all over YouTube and found barely anything on this software to help learn it. Its not easy and actually annoying. I have a patio on my house and you can't add one, or a driveway. Its very limited. There are better out there but I guess this is a classic you get what you pay for.

Everytime I enter the serial number, it tells it is the wrong serial number. I tried to call them, but, I would have to pay them more money for their technical support. What a rip off. Paid all that money for something I cannot use. I do not recomend this software to anyone for any reason. I feel so ripped off.

Adequate for usage

I bought it to design a one acre lot. Canʻt fit a lot that size into the work area, canʻt see the dimensions as I create lot lines or even after for that matter. Very steep learning curve, may be possible to do what I want to do, but I donʻt see how. Donʻt waste your money. Iʻve had several house and landscape design tools, and this is by far the worst Iʻve encountered.

I think this product is cool and easier to use than it looks. Some reviews say that its hard to save, but I had no problem at all. I use windows 7. I enjoy the 3d perspective and love all the details. I love designing kitchens and its really simple to create your own. I also love the different options for bedrooms and all the materials to use. I just use this for fun, not really for professional usage. I love building and designing amazing spaces. It didn't take me long to get the hang of it.

I researched all the home design software on Amazon and mistakingly chose this one. The product works and really isn't difficult to use. It comes with a great user's guide. It is more advanced so is not for someone looking for a basic program. The real disappointment with this program is the interior design portion. For having HGTV in it's logo, you'd think it offered great choices for design. However, the choices are minimal. This program has 100's of design options - not thousands. You can change the color and finish of furnishings, but not the style. There are almost no decorative accessories and you need to be creative in making a walk-in closet. One bonus is that you can download some additional elements and add to the program catalog.
