Systane Nighttime Eye Ointment for Dry Eyes (2 Pack)

Like many people, I've had eye surgeries, and, like many more people, I have to spend a great deal of time using either a computer, a tablet, or a mobile phone. As anyone who uses electronic devices for a good part of the day knows, too much use and your naturally dry eyes become so dry and inflamed they feel like sandpaper. I was using drops three or four times during the day, but they only gave me minimal relief, even though it was specified on the box that it was for dry eye. So, I started using Systane Gel for nighttime. I experienced instant relief. My eyes were so inflamed that it took a about a week before they felt "normal" again, and the gel does make your vision a bit blurry, so you want to use it when you're ready to go to sleep. Now, I want to stress that it doesn't make your eyesight so blurry that you can't see to get up to use the restroom or get a drink, etc., but you almost certainly won't be able to read or write once you put the gel in. The gel feels so cool and so soothing, it even makes sleeping more comfortable, and when you wake, you find your vision is so much sharper and clearer. The only thing better than Systane Gel for Nighttime would be a Systane gel for daytime, and that is now available. It's something I plan on trying very soon, as soon as my drops run out. If you're suffering from dry eyes or eyes that are just overworked, I don't think you can go wrong with this product.

Helps my dry eye lids

I have been using Systane eye ointment for several years. It, along with my prescription eye drops (Restasis) has helped heal the erosions on my cornea. The last visit to the eye doctor, she commented that my cornea were back to being smooth and she could tell that I had done the work sticking to using the drops twice a day & the ointment at night. My one suggestion …. offer it in a larger tube so a person wouldn’t have to buy it so often.

You have extremely dry eyes this is excellent to use in the evening before retiring.

Terrible product. Starts coming out of the tube as soon as you remove the cap and you can’t stop it. I would estimate 90% was wasted because of this. Any that made it to my eyes clung to my eyelashes and didn’t stay in place rendering it useless. I prefer to nighttime gel drops but got these due to supply chain issues. I regret buying it as it’s expensive and so much gets wasted. Even worse it does nothing to relieve my dry eye symptoms.

Very helpful for my dry eyes. Eyes dr. Said I had dry skin patches on my eyes. The medication recomme ded was too expensive, so I started with this. My eyes improved in two weeks return to eye drops. My eyes feels so much better. Be sure you get the preservative free choice.
