I have probably used well over 100+ different hair products to style my hair since I turned 16 (Pomade, cream, gel, wax, etc.). I used premium products to cheap recommendations and everyone had some major con which eventually lead me to keep searching. This product is amazing and I have been using it consistently for the past 2+ years since I found it. Pros - Great hold (not too strong) but keeps hair in place, can still run hands thru hair so gives hair a natural look, matte finish (no greasy shine at all), a little goes a long way so it lasts, perfect for my medium length hair or even longer styled hair. Cons - It is thicker so don't use too much and you really need to purchase a clarifying shampoo and incorporate it into your regular shampooing to make sure the product doesn't build up. I have recommended this product to anyone who wants to style there hair and everyone loves it.

I love this hair product... it's been my go-to since Rask Clay, and then Boogies Casual Hair Clay, were discontinued. I have thick Asian hair, which I cut short and texturize myself, and wear it messy so you can't see how poorly I cut it! The trick with this clay is to have your hair really towel dried, and to kinda emulsify the clay between your palms. It separates your hair and holds strong, while still being soft and pliable. Also it has absolutely no smell. The only down side (and it could just be my hair style) is that all sorts of fuzz gets caught in it! But you can pluck them out and fix your hair again... the clay is re-moldable so you could wear your hair combed back/ "normal" , then make it all funky and spiky later!

Holds really, but make sure you put a thin layer on your fingers as big blob on your finger may just get stuck in the first area of your hair that you touch. That's just something you learn to work with as you use the product. I really like that it's not sticky and you're able to fix your hair hours later, without applying more product. It's very workable.

For a long time now I have been looking for a replacement for the discontinued, original Alterna Hemp Concrete Matte Clay that came in the red jar. I have finally found it and better as this is an even less greasy (if that's possible, hard to believe but it is) and very dry clay at a better price. This is by far my favorite hair product ever. My hair ranges from 1.5 inches to 4 inches or longer depending on how long between haircuts. This is a super dry clay with strong hold that lasts all day. I usually only use a fingertip amount to get a natural looking style, but I could spike it all straight up with this if I wanted to. Also no gloss or shine with this product at all - it is the definition of matte. So natural looking that people often ask how I get such volume and have so much hair. I'm ordering a bunch more in case it ever becomes unavailable. Fantastic product!

I’m almost done with my first tub of this amazing product. I wanted to see if my initial infatuation would last. Like many people I have a drawer of forgotten, once-used, products. Always on a hunt for something new and better, I took a risk on this one. Here is what it has done for my hair (full head of fine hair that needs product). It is a great volumizer when I put a little in my hair before drying it or letting it air dry. Then I use a little more, slightly thinned with a bit of water, to add texture and wave to my hair after it is dry. Start with a little bit - you can always add more. But too much makes for a gummy mess. Thankfully it is water soluble, so it is easy to rinse or shampoo out (their shampoos are fantastic, by the way). This is the best styling creme I’ve found so far.

Amazing product, but this price ($28) is price gouging to the extreme degree. You can get this at $7 at Walmart.com with free shipping. This is a 300% upcharge.

I bought this because it doesn't have a fragrance. But this tends to clump in your hair because it's hard to soften in your hand. Aveda Men's Grooming Clay is a much better product.
