Good and portable
This envie Rio ECR-22 charger is nice pros. it can charge 1 to 4 cells. (Older model charge 2 or 4 cells ) It has indicator for individual cells when charging. It has micro USB port so it is very portable and you can easily plug it into any charger or power bank. Small and light weight. Cons. Charging speed is very slow. Not a fast charger. No indication for battery full. ( I have put 2 cells of 1000 mAh for 10 hours but the cherger is still charging the cells.. It supports only ni-mh and ni-cd cell . It is not suitable for lithium ion or lithium polymer. Maximum Output is 1.2v DC 800mA

No Auto power off. Worst advertisement.
Model name is Envie Rio ECR-22. It is the latest model. Today 27th Dec, 2019 I have received the item. Other advanced charger automatically turns off when the batteries become fully charged. I have put 2 fully charged batteries into the charger. After 2 hour it is still charging, no led turned off ! I will update my review after 2 days testing. As of now I think it has no auto power cut system. It's output is pretty low 200 mA for AA cells and 100 mA for AAA cells. Those who don't know - AA are the bigger ones. At this rate to charge a 2000 mAh AA battery it will take (2000รท200) = 10 hours + some extra time (because some current/energy will be lossed due to slight heating of cells). This should be x2 times faster becoz it's 2019 friends ! But, it shouldn't be as fast as the Panasonic BQ CC55 (as it overheats the cells due to excessive fast charging ). I will test my 2 cells for next 2 days. I will check 2 conditions -- 1. After the full charging of cell it cuts the power off but the led indicator remains on. 2. Neither the power cuts off nor the led goes off. In the 2nd condition the cell will be damaged for overcharging. I have an cell capacity tester (LiitoKala Lii 500). I will measure the capacity of each cell before and after the test. Stay tuned. Thank you for reading. Update after 1 full day testing : This charger don't auto cut off power when the battery gets full and also the led remains on forever. One of my 800 mAh (Ni-Cd AA) cell got damaged after several hours of charging. It is completely dead due to overcharging. In first phase, I charged it (that was already full charged) for 4 hours with the ECR 22. Then this happened -- capacity come down from 768 mAh to 409 mAh. Don't buy it. Go for Panasonic BQ CC-17.

average product
Needs an external charger of your own to charge the batteries. its just a holder for the rechargeable cells. does not give charging indication . not impressed.

Value for money
With too many household devices (toys, remotes, cuckoo clock, wireless mouse and keyboards) needing battery power, use of AA and AAA has increased while Duracell batteries are best however they are costly too. So I bought rechargeable batteries in bulk. This charger so far is working fine. The best part of this charger is very light weight and is very travel friendly as it has micro-B USB port so a mobile charger socket and cable can be used to charge. The cost of this charger is reasonable. Both onetime spent on rechargeable batteries and this charger is helping me to save recurring cost on batteries. So I would say this product is value for money. Thanks
